Located in the original “Lucky Corner” building and purportedly by the same original owner, this was the joy and indulgence of a meal I’d been craving for some time.
The Vegan Pho we ordered and the Tofu Summer rolls were out of this world! The broth was so delightful I didn’t need to add anything. The toppings, both for our pho and the limes for our water, were abundant and fresh, vibrant even.
What made the meal spectacular was the kindness and generosity of our host(s). I mistakenly asked for extra spicy (it was and it was exactly what I wanted) and ordered the same for my partner leaving out the fact that she did NOT want it spicy.
They made the necessary modifications at no charge, with no fuss and not even an appreciable gap in service. They even sent us home with complimentary extras!
Run don’t walk to Tin Corner and treat yourself to an indulgent, authentic experience!
– Hot ginger tea
– Pork & shrimp fresh summer rolls
– Tin’s lemongrass tofu
– Da Nang noodles with tofu
Everything was delicious! The portions were large and the food had fresh ingredients. We asked for our dishes to be made spicy.
Highly recommend these dishes! Looking forward to come back and try more items on the menu.
definitely coming back
Grab Rangoon: 5 stars
Calamari: 2 stars… it was wet also on a bed of cabbage (cabbage sweats in a box)
Grilled chicken: 2 stars, more like steamed with veggies
Ginger Beef: 0 stars, meat 5 pieces was tasty but had potatoes that looked like meat and they were sour (taste spoiled and looked like they were using it as a filler)… this meal alone is $20. Went straight into the trash.
Broth and noodle: ordered for kid. 5 stars
Tufo with stringbeans: 2 stars, veggies looked old, not fresh (maybe frozen veggies used). Taste was ok. Tufo was ok.
Overall I regretted spending money here. The food just was not up to standard. I choose this establishment because of location and all the wonderful reviews. My experience unfortunately was not good. It’s my honest feedback.
Not super authentic all the time — depends on the chef. Sometimes the Asian dishes taste more like Mexican-Vietnamese food (more cilantro, bell peppers, wrong oils, beans, etc). But it’s really customizable! I asked for super, super spicy and it paid off. MD food isn’t usually spicy even if it’s labeled “very” or “maximum” spicy.
Our order got messed up a few times but the people are super nice! But I got chewed up by mosquitoes once here really bad My legs were wrecked
The ube rice was good with the mango! It was sorta bland but the mango was perfect. Ripe, not fibrous.
