I am addicted to Tim’s salmon bowl with steamed veggies and rice. It’s very tasty, and the portions are so generous that I take home about half for another meal. The service is also great – a friendly and helpful crew.

This restaurant has risen to one of my top Downtown Davis faves! The price-to-portion ratio is excellent, especially if you’re there on a Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday. The food is also always well-cooked and flavorful. Customers also have access to the drink dispenser. If only they had been here during my college years!

We waited 40+ minutes for our order. They kept saying it’ll be out soon. Only after 40 minutes did they realize they lost our receipt. Food was made in 5 minutes after that. We weren’t offered anything for their mistake…Their food is good but I can’t say the same about their service. (Poor even for a take out place)

Fantastic food and service! The space is okay but you don’t go there for the ambience. I’d highly recommend.

We went in the evening for dinner and noticed that, interestingly, this location serves the food exclusively in take-out containers. There’s plenty of indoor seating and two tables outside shared by the awning. We got the chicken katsu plate with rice and macaroni salad ($13), the unagi (eel) rice bowl ($16), and the BBQ beef bowl ($11). One nice thing about this location is the weekly discounted offerings, including the BBQ chicken bowl going for $10 on certain days. The portions were hearty and worth the price, especially the katsu plate. Note that the sauces come on the side, are served cold, and they may sadly run out of teriyaki sauce by the evening. We enjoyed the crispy katsu and unagi with the slightly sweet marinade but would have preferred the rather dry beef BBQ bowl to come with a side of sauce.
Also, I would recommend checking the concoction of fruits and vegetables in provided water and taste-testing before getting a full cup. On the day we went, they offered a mix of lemons, cucumbers, and limes that mixed into a strong herbal flavor that is more of an acquired taste. Great experience with friendly staff who made our batch of katsu sauce fresh on the spot – this location of Tim’s Hawaiian has maintained the quality from their OG spot!

Food is pretty good but they ask for a tip for kiosk ordering LOL. Who am I tipping, the iPad? Absolutely deranged. And now I’m seeing there’s a hidden fee that only shows up on the receipt for using the kiosk?
If you like paying an extra $5 for fun, go here. Otherwise go somewhere where you can tip somebody who actually served you. I literally interact more with the staff at a McDonalds than Tim’s, asking for a tip is insane.

If you like food wrapped in plastic, to eat with plastic forks, and drink out of plastic cups and then everything gets dumped, that’s the place to go. Where have real plates and knives and cups gone? Food is okaish.

Food price is out of touch. Expect to spend at least $13 plus “tax” that adds up to $3 and a tip. Oh and remember they do kiosk orders meaning it’s all Card or a long wait to see if they’ll let you order and pay with cash. The food was OK at best, definitely better options for everything on the menu near downtown. Price for portion was awful; low on protien and high on the rice making the price feel less worth it.

My favorite place in Davis. The BBQ plates are great, and good portions.
A lot of the lower reviews seem to be about the ramen. I’ve never ordered these. The BBQ mixed plate with veggies is so good!
