Tim’s Country Cooking was our Corvette Club’s new venue for our monthly meeting. This was our (my wife and I) first visit, and we were not disappointed. The fried chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, salad bar, etc. were our personal favorites. Their dessert choices were peach cobbler, banana pudding, and spectacular cinnamon rolls. Highly recommend.

1st time eating here. Service was good, but food was disgusting. Chicken livers were old and cold and no breading left on them. Salmon croquettes were okay, but were extremely salty so I could barely eat them. No clue what the heck was wrong with the Salisbury steak pieces, but they were so disgusting I had to spit it out into my napkin. The rolls were hard as rocks. Once I was able to get them open, the center was soft and yummy. Only good thing was the banana pudding and the pickle spears off the salad bar. And the waitress was polite and gave plenty of napkins and kept my drink refilled. Pretty sure I will not be back.

I went today on January 27, 2026 and it was absolutely disgusting. The cornbread was hard as a rock and burnt the collard greens had no flavor whatsoever. The pork chops were burnt. Everything just was horrible. I’m so mad that I spent my money today I definitely will not be back ever.

Buffet: $15. Per person, senior discounts, Not sure of the children’s rates, but I’m fairly confident that they have them, they have carryouts, but no discounts applied to them.
This was a place that was recommended by someone who frequents this buffet style establishment. It’s located in Banks Station near the Food Depot. It’s pretty rustic, to say the least. Chairs are well worn. Not a huge place as you’d expect for a buffet, but more like cozy… Ample seating though. The people are very gracious, and the food is absolutely southern in all respects. Salad bar is available too. I found cabbage, greens, fish, fried chicken, corn, corn pudding, corn bread, home style hush puppies, spaghetti, peach cobbler, ice cream, etc. All around Southern cooking at its best. Service was top notch. You’ll be taken aback by the way it looks inside, but the food will allay any lingering thoughts of the decor. Seafood specialities are served in the evenings, not at lunch. I will update these photos and do video when I return.

Very nice staff. They were very attentive to All of the customers. They even knew many of the customers by name . I will be going there again.
It’s a wonderful feeling to go somewhere and feel like you are a part of a family regardless of creed or color. This is what America should be like everywhere.

I’m in town for work and wanted some good soul food. This restaurant was recommended and had good reviews. I was extremely disappointed and pretty sick to my stomach the food did not taste good and it was mold all throughout the ceilings and all the air vents. The ceiling above the buffet area had mold on the drop ceiling panels. The fried chicken taste like it had been fried and old dirty oil.
