Absolutely loved my experience at Timo’s Restaurant! The shrimp cocktail was fresh, flavorful, and packed with just the right amount of spice. The menudo? Easily one of the best I’ve had—rich, hearty, and made with love. What really made the visit special, though, was the incredible service from Kayla. She was attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. Timo’s is definitely a must-visit if you’re craving authentic flavor and top-notch hospitality!

The restaurant is cute – seafood meets Mexican culture. The food not good. We ordered menudo and the taste was to say the least disgusting – it tasted like seafood. The butter on the bread tasted rancid. The coffee was watered down. We visited as we were in the area, my Grandparents enjoyed to dine there. We went to feel connected to them, it’s been at least 5 years since my Grandpa passed away. And things may have changed a lot.

Our bowls were left full and we paid: there was no acknowledgement from the waitress or owner. Much has changed with economy, they had a large beer delivery while we waited, they should spend some of that budget on good, fresh ingredients.

We will not ever be dining there ever again.

So I decided to go and take my mom out to a delicious and different restaurant and we decided on Timo’s Restaurant. As we entered the cool breeze from the air conditioning made me realize that this place was going to be comfortable on a hot day. We were greeted with a smile and to go sit anywhere we choose. The smell of this place was so good I had to see what was on the menu. When we sat on our booth we were greeted by this very friendly and courteous waitress and without hesitation I asked if they had ice cold lemonade and Sprite soda for my mom and they eagerly brought it to and boy was it refreshing. We took out time to look at the menu. So many choices. We decided to start off with a Medium and Large Shrimp cocktails and man they did not disappoint. These glass goblets were ice cold and heaping with whole pieces of shrimps and chunks of celery and onions and cilantro and cold and tasty cocktail sauce with a tangy flavor. They were served with a lemon halved and a couple of packets of salty crackers. That was delightfully devoured and on to the next menu item. My mom decided on fish tacos and I decided on a Black Bass plate and man this plate was imence the fish was freshly made and still sizzling. I swear it was going to jump off my plate and swim away. It was accompanied with some warm rice with corn and a small salad. I knew I couldn’t eat it all so I tackled what I could and took the rest home with me. My mom’s Fish Tacos was another story. They looked like they had been made earlier and they reheated the same food. I guess it must of been someone else’s plate and they didn’t want it and returned it to the the cook and was given to us reheated. So I asked the waitress if I could please have a freshly made new Fish Tacos plate and they gave us a freshly made plate with hot fresh Fish Tacos. The thing that made me cringe was the plate we had returned to get a new one was given to another person and that disappointed me so that I had to speak up and say to the family that was given that plate to please have it thrown away because it was bad food that was given to us. I couldn’t see how these people run this business and mess with there food. But I was satisfied with the outcome and we both got what we ordered. Fresh seafood and good times. Please visit this place but be aware of what you ordered and make sure it is freshly made. Don’t hesitate to ask. They will be happy to help get you good food. I highly recommend this place and I hope they learn from this mistake. But I highly recommend this place they have plenty of seating and high chairs for the kids and they are wheelchair accessible and if you need help they will be there to help . Parking in the other hand is a bit tricky and you need to pay attention to where you park or your vehicle will be towed away. Please visit this place and enjoy great Mexican seafood and delicious Mexican plates. I highly recommend this place. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Liked the seating and relaxing atmosphere. The food is bad, ceviche is old and likely not made daily. There are thousands of better options for the inflated price. Service was not the best. They forgot about our table after food delivery. CC fee is 3.5% so bring cash.

The tacos gobernador were really good as was the Mexican Plate. They have a pretty good comida corrida selection, although I didn’t try it. Today I tried the Mariscos Carnaval for 2. It was pretty good.

My husband and I paid $50 the octopus was like rubber extremely hard and chewy. The chille relleno burrito was good. And his fish tacos were overcooked and extremely salty.

5 ⭐️ stars, Great service. Felt very welcomed. Server was on top of her game. The food was savory, and hot in heat hot.
Very refreshing for 100 degree weather in wonderful El Paso, TX.
We had:
Shrimp cocktail: full in refreshing tomato juice, with a hint of spicy . With avocado slices and chucks if shrimps.
Shrimp tacos: 4 soft corn tortilla tacos full of shrimps. Slices of avocado, a heap of white rice with a small portion of lettuce with tomatoes. All I can say is… yummy.

Was given a goodbye with a friendly fist pump.

We were passing through and stopped for dinner here. I had chicken mole and it was pretty good, sweet and very saucy (I hate when you don’t get enough sauce)! The flour tortilla was fluffy, soft and warm. My husband had carne asada as picture but wasn’t a fan of the sauce that came with it. He may have enjoyed something else a bit better. The verde salsa served at the beginning with chips was excellent and spicy! Also our server was very kind and did a wonderful job.
