Stopped in for lunch as we were headed to Beaufort from Raleigh. Staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Decent beer list. We got the grouper bites and a fried shrimp basket. The grouper bites were generous, fried maybe a tad too done for the thinness of the fish used. The remoulade sauce with the grouper was really good. The shrimp were excellent as well as the fries. Typical bar decor.

This was such a nice find. We stopped because the kids were getting hungry and antsy and wanted out of the car. It’s a nice bar that offers food and drinks. It was quiet when we went for a late lunch. They have a pool table, darts, piano, stage, and even casino games. These seem as if it would be a great hangout spot if we weren’t with kids. The waitress was so nice that she gave our kids coloring books and stickers that they loved. The food was very good and at such a great price too.

Ok, I’ve actually been going there quite often recently and it has become one of my favorite hangouts. The staff are wonderful people and very sweet. The drinks are amazing! And the other customers are pretty easygoing and fun to talk to, even if you go alone. There’s pool, music and darts. There’s also a nice, enclosed space outside for smokers. I highly recommend dropping by.

We heard some good things about this place so we decided to have lunch here. We were not disappointed. The server was very polite, got our drinks quickly, and food arrived quickly and hot. Glasses were kept full during our meal. I got the reuben sandwich. Lots of corned beef. Very good. My wife got blackened shrimp Taco. She enjoyed it very much. We will definitely return.

Shrimp and Grits is one of my favorite “go to “ meals. This is definitely in the top 2 I’ve ever eaten! My husband had the shrimp tacos and his meal was also delicious. Staff is friendly, prices are very reasonable, the atmosphere is terrific and the food was delicious!!! I highly recommend the Time Out tavern.

Restaurant was almost completely empty and we waited for our food for over an hour. We were almost completely ignored by the waitress and we had to go up to the bar several times to ask about our food. She kept telling us it was almost ready but we ended up needing to leave after an hour and a half when everyone else in the restaurant had been served (even folks that arrived after us) when our food still hadn’t arrived. Very disappointed and thoroughly hangry.
