(2 of us) arrived at about 6:45am on a Saturday morning, the front lady was kinda rude, definitely not a morning person, which is fine. We got our food very fast, the cook was right in viewing distance (which I thought was kinda cool) and we got out food quick.
It was WONDERFUL, from the delicious pancakes to the large filling and absolutely tasty food, to the cute cozy atmosphere.
The lady who served us (who looked like maybe the manager) warmed up after we got our food and was very pleasant taking care of us. New breakfast spot? definitely a contender…

Not many breakfast choices in Elkhorn, then I spotted Time To Rise and Shine Elkhorn just off Highway 6. It’s not very wide but a long deep seating area and bar seats gives it a hometown vibe. Service and coffee were excellent with generous food portions. I stopped in around brunch time and was surprised at how busy it was, not too loud to carry on conversations. As expected with a small town local cafe, there was a mix of young to old, families and this old disabled Vet (me). Very handicap accessible with plenty of parking. The waitress came back frequently, always friendly and kept my coffee filled. I also need to mention the high standard of cleanliness in the dining area as well as the restrooms. Overall a very pleasant experience worth the stop!

First time trying Rise and Shine. We thought it was fine. The pancake and waffles were really good. Everything else we had literally had no seasoning. Zero. The service was pretty below average.

Overall it’s was great! The food was delicious and filling, the place was a little cramped but it was a small space. My server was nice but when they served us the food, they forgot about the sausage links we ordered and my dad’s poached eggs were a little overcooked, like they weren’t runny. And the coffee was kinda strong and looked like it had small coffee grounds in it. I would go here again bc the food was so good but hopefully the service is a bit better the next time I come!

My family and I met here for breakfast and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The menu has a Mexican inspiration which I appreciate while still finding standards on the menu such as pancakes and American breakfasts. I enjoyed the migas while there. The service was standard. The location is convenient for far west Omaha and surroundings. If you are in the area, give them a try!

We got the chorizo skillet! It was really good! Perfect blend of spices. Egg yolk running over jalapeños was so good! And also it came with pancakes. Really good deal for the plate. We will be going back. Excellent service. our waitress was perfect!

After hearing and reading so many stupendous reviews, I thought it was time to try this place. Four of us did brunch here this morning around 11:30AM. I expected quaint with local atmosphere. It was … ok. Not much to the design or tables. Kind of reminded me of an old place in Benson that depended on its food more than its atmosphere. Ironically, my wife thought the other couple said Good Evans and we stopped there first, which was actually more attractive, almost chain-like but still a local vibe. Later, I got to thinking that maybe we should have stayed. The waitress/hostess here at TTR&S greeted us and we told her we were meeting the other couple who were already seated. “Amazing” she said. She gave us some time and got us a tea and coffee. We all soon ordered … and that was the last we saw of her until our food came. Of course, our coffees and tea had emptied long before this, not to mention we were draining the water, as well. So, I caught her as she was preparing to vanish again after dropping off our brunch and I asked for more coffee and & my wife said “and tea please” (coffee was ok, but maybe they thought it was great – or amazing – & were rationing it?) She brought my wife and I refills – & none for the other couple (well they didn’t ask, after all). She also dropped the check, didn’t ask if we wanted to split it or anything. Maybe they want you in and out due to the popularity of the place? But … there were only a couple other tables and not even actually that for most of our wonderful stay. I noticed our server stayed primarily perched on a stool in the dining area on a laptop & I wondered what was so captivating on that. I still kind of wonder … but not too often really. My order was chicken fried steak and eggs. The scrambled eggs & hash browns were barely warm but the steak wasn’t bad, actually. Then I asked my wife to pass some napkins. I’ve never seen such thin little squares before. Very cute, really. It’s just that it took about 8 of them to just wipe my hands once. We were able to get our server back over finally so we could pay the check and, eventually, even to clean off our plates. Well, some of them, anyway. To be fair, I feel she seemed more the hostess type. Maybe they were short-handed for a Friday. A slow Friday at this time of day, but still … . My wife also reported that her food was subpar. I’ve tried the owner’s other place, Javi’s Tacos. It actually had GOOD service. No kidding. But with real Mexican not hard to locate locally, I don’t recall much about the food standing out. On the bright side of things, now I’d really like to stop back at that Good Evans and give it a go. Maybe it was a bad morning, but like other places locally that are raved about, I just can’t see it. I’m sorry. We’ll be sticking with Bailey’s. They’re flawless, with impressive service, unique brunch and other options, and lots of atmosphere. I’m sure locals feel it’s expensive, but read my previous sentence. You get what you pay for in this world. HOWEVER, though technically a bit of a greasy spoon, Joe’s in Benson is quite good and about half the price of here.

Cute place with not a lot of tables. I really enjoyed it. Got a skillet with toast and coffee. My sister enjoyed a traditional eggs and bacon and hash browns and we shared a cinnamon roll. Pretty good!

My family and I ate at this restaurant and waited for an hour for our food. When the food arrived, my country fried steak was burnt, and the cinnamon roll frosting didn’t taste like much. In addition, the price was way too high for what we received.
