Great place to stop in for pizza. The pizza is hand tossed and very fresh. Pizza was delicious. We got the pepperoni pizza. One pie was enough for 2 -3 people. The Parmesan cheese was kept cold in the refrigerator like it should be !! Thanks for being food safe. This place does have high chairs for small children.

We had an unexpectedly delicious dinner (two pizzas, salad, and a soup) on a cold and rainy November evening. The place was warm, the pizza was fresh and full of taste, and the local live music was fun and a perfect volume.

3rd owner is the charm! Very friendly and the pizza is phenomenal. We had the $Money Penny$ and on the owners recommendation added the picked onion. Delicious ! Stop in and enjoy some homemade pizza with a great crust.

Absolutely phenomenal!!! Our cruise ship tendered us out to do shore excursions and we ended up stranded for a bit so many of us flocked to Alpenglow from the recommendation of our guides and the locals and I can’t overstate how great these people are at their jobs! As someone with links to Chicago, I know a good pizza when I see and taste one and this would rival even some of those restaurants. Wonderful work ethic and positivity which helped brighten up a dreary day! In fact, the whole town is just awesome. I don’t know if I’ll ever travel back to Alaska but if I do, Haines is the place to be!

Updated and upgraded overall rating on 7-23-25 because the restaurant read my review and responded within a couple days of our visit I bumped their rating up. The owner response means a lot to me and suggest they are welcoming feedback. The owner comments reflected that they read my review also and not just a standard response. I recommend this place and would go back.
Original: The pizza was decent. We had the supreme. The toppings were good. The sausage was crumbly which is different but good and not too spicy. There is only one size of pizza which was on the small side for us but two would have been too much. We got there too late for sit down so it’s nice they still have a take out option but be advised. The pizza was ready in about 45 minutes and it was hot.

The pizza here is the highest of quality, and so is the staff! Really enjoyed the variety of pizza that is offered here, not to mention the great service and conversation that chef Austin provided! When you walk in to Alpenglow Pizza, be prepared for some serious pizza. Dough is delicious and toppings are fresh!

We really wanted to stop here before leaving Haines after our three night stay. When we found out that it would be 1hour 40 minutes wait for our pizza, we decided to go ahead with the order and go for a drive. By the time we returned, we only needed to wait for about 10 minutes. Our pizza was excellent and we also enjoyed our large Caesar salad. Furthermore, the staff was very friendly. We were surprised to read negative reviews about people working there.

This place was amazing. Who puts honey on pizza? They do and it tastes great. Had a pizza and a small walnut/goat cheese salad with fire strawberry dressing. Portions were large and extremely fresh. I would highly recommend this eating experience.
