We have driven past this place a lot as it is just off of the freeway. We finally gave it a try. It was busy, but there were still a lot of seats available. The interior was not fancy. Just a country restaurant. The food was basic, but very good. We were a party of four, and each had pretty much something different. There were no complaints about any of the dishes. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Portion sizes were appropriate. The staff were great and we were tended to constantly. We don’t eat out often, but this place will be on our list for a revisit.

I absolutely love going by here on my way to different jobsites! The food is just simply delicious comfort food and everyone who works here couldn’t be nicer! More people neex to go here…a lot of locals seem to, but I hope some passersby do as well. Not much to look at, but worth the effort. And it’s right off Exit 106 too!

Greeted immediately by a sweet staff and greeted by several servers. Daily features and desserts. Nice menu for comfort food lovers! They have several sandwiches and entrees. Chef salad and Chicken Salad plate. We ordered the Fish Sandwich & Chicken Salad with fries and sweet tea! Very tasty and delicious. It’s a bit like a diner -very quaint and no ambiance. Music would be a nice touch. But overall we are glad these lil small owned restaurants are still open and affording employment to folks! Very close to interstate ramp -right on and off! Close to gasoline Meeting room was available as well. Great for groups✅Support this cute little inexpensive eatery!

The food was delicious! I had country fried steak, mashed potatoes and okra. There were 3 of us and we all had the mashed potatoes and okra and everyone was pleased with the food. The portions are large and the prices are VERY reasonable.
The restaurant itself is a total dive and desperately needs updated. I think some of the blinds have been there since it opened.
Other than the aesthetics, I have no complaints & will certainly go back!

A cultural experience. Some of the staff were amazing, and others were clearly new to food service. There were lots of assumptions that diners know “how things work here” and little help for first time visitors.
Skip breakfast. The scrambled eggs were awful. They tasted like powder and, out of morbid fascination, I considered it a personal challenge to finish them. The hash browns were just a flavorless delivery device for salt, of which they needed copious amounts. The bacon was… well, bacon. Some of it was burnt, but it was the hero of the plate for sure.
Based on personal recommendations I’ve received, this place is pretty good, so maybe breakfast just isn’t their strong suit.

Timberwoods is an older restaurant that has been in business for a very long time. It was really busy there today and the line was getting longer leading outside to wait on seating. We had a party of 10 people and got there early enough to get a table. The staff was friendly but was very short with us. You could tell they were in a rush. The food was pretty good but nothing special to shout out about. We all got different things from the menu. Some of us got the family style meal others got chicken salad, BBQ, breakfast meal, cheeseburger. All said there food was good. Others complained that the livermush looked like a shingle tile and didn’t offer to bring another so that was a negative. And the dessert was not good either. Spoke to the manager about it and he just stated “Thats the way they make it”, as if it wasn’t a big deal but it was to us. You know you are a manager and you have the authority to make changes. Oh well…. This is why the service was only 3 stars plus we had to flag down the wait staff everytime we needed something. If you want more tips work towards focusing on customer service. For my crew we paid for 5 people.

Timberwoods is an older restaurant that has been is around for a long time. The building itself is older and could use some upgrades on the furniture but the food that comes out of this restaurant is excellent. If you are interested in good home type cooking , then you should check out timberwoods restaurant. They have a daily special that offers 2 choices and usually the cost is around ten dollars or a little more. For example, on Mondays, they offer chicken pot pie, or turkey and dressing with two sides and bread. I have been eating at this restaurant for many years and the food has been as close to my own cooking as somebody could get. On Mondays, I usually get the turkey and dressing, which I get mashed potatoes and gravy with that and then usually a side of pintos, Or cabbage or some other vegetable. Their mashed potatoes are actually real potatoes. If you like fried chicken livers you owe it to yourself to check out their chicken livers. I’ll be honest. I’m not crazy about their spaghetti or their meatloaf. But that’s only because I cook mine in such a way that I only prefer my cooking of these foods. They make a wonderful chef salad. Their chicken and dumplings are wonderful and every bit as good as mine!

The locals know. Timberwoods is the place for good old fashioned home cooking and friendly service. Family style is hard to beat. All you can eat fried chicken, beef and gravy, ham, vegetables and rolls. Then your choice of banana pudding or strawberry shortcake. Mmmm!
