We’ve been traveling for a week now, stopping at coffee shops along our route. There has always been one or two things about each place that we felt they could’ve done a bit better to earn 5 stars. But this place totally earned 5. There is nothing we didn’t like about it. We do have just a few personal preference tweaks (like my husband prefers a tad less sweet coffees, though this one wasn’t overly sweet). But the espresso shots were pulled expertly, no bitterness and the flavor of everything was outstanding. It did take a couple minutes to receive our order, but we could tell they were very intentional. Pricing was comparable and reasonable.
The baked goods were warmed and divine! We tried a cinnamon roll at another local place here that had 4.8 stars, and this one blew that one out of the water. This cinnamon roll competes with our favorite cinnamon roll shop in Gatlinburg (Olga’s Cinnamon Rolls).
There was minimal parking, but we didn’t have issues when we went. The atmosphere is a great vibe with soothing music. The employees were very kind and sweet.
If we lived here and weren’t just passing through, THIS would be our go-to.
The quality of the coffee is really good; I forget who they get their bean supply from, but I know it’s a local roaster. Ordering just a black coffee has never been dissapointing, but their iced lattes have also been delicious.
They have a decent selection of seasonal coffees and drinks, and a flavor menu to choose from to add to your coffee.
This morning’s trip to Timber Creek also provided my husband with one of their Snickers cookies from the case- he said that it was great too!! Unfprtunately I didn’t have a bite because gluten and I don’t mix, but informed me that it looked just as appetizing as it actually was.
Pricing is fair- pretty average for what you’d expect for a little coffee shop (my go to is an iced latte with a pump of flavor & almond milk, which runs about $6.50).
The ladies at the front seem friendly & young.
The energy balls are good.
As for the coffee, we order macchiatos.
They came with syrup at the bottom, milk, and cold brew on the top which is the incorrect way to make a macchiato.. I’ve always had it a certain way, or at least with the sugar syrup mixed in with the espresso.
The ladies wanted to go back and forth about how they make it.
At the end of the day I just wanted a refund.
Stood there for like 5 mins trying to get that because they couldn’t figure out how to refund just the drinks.
So I said I’m okay with taking cash, they were discussing them voiding the entire order and I just need to pay for the energy bites.
After I said I didn’t want to reswipe my card, the young lady asked me if I’m okay with accepting cash.
Yes? I just said that…
Probably wont be back for coffee unless they get the recipes right and know what goes in what drinks.
