The older woman working the window was very nasty about it. She told me she had already put them in a bag and refused to take them out. I even offered to put them in a box myself or purchase a box separately, and she still said no. There was no attempt to be understanding or helpful—just unnecessary attitude.
My son has special needs and will only eat his donut if it’s in a box, so this wasn’t just a preference. A small accommodation would have made a big difference.
In the end, she still had to take them out of the bag anyway because I chose not to accept the order and drove 15 minutes to take my business elsewhere. Customer service and basic kindness go a long way, and unfortunately that was completely lacking during this visit.
Order… plain bagel double toasted with extra butter. I always receive light toasted light butter. I order it this way to make sure I get my stuff normal. My question is my coffee correct?
I agree and the manager comes and instead of working with me or explaining anything, they kept saying that it wasn’t a gift card and that it wasn’t scan and pay when the app was very clearly showing that I was on the scan and pay and that the gift card was set as the payment method. They kept saying I didn’t understand, so instead of calmly and politely explaining they just kept regurgitating the same words, that my gift card isn’t a gift card. Not that they don’t accept it at that location, not trying to help me get to the correct page on the app to use the gift card, just that it wasn’t a gift card.
I can understand if that location doesn’t accept the scan and pay, but to be told my gift card isn’t a gift card and that the scan and pay isn’t scan and pay just to follow up with they don’t know how the app works because they don’t use it themselves is concerning.
If you don’t have information don’t pretend that you do and make your customer out to be stupid and just say you don’t know or that it isn’t accepted at your location.
