Bartenders were very friendly even though it got packed quick cause of Ring day family weekend. I had the Irish nachos which were absolutely delicious. The Guinness bloody Mary went down smooth. The best beer they had was the Revolver Block T. Sooooo good. I just felt like I could unwind and listen to our music. To me it’s worth it being able to load up your favorite songs and knock back a few.
My only gripe was not against this place, but we found our little corner, then a group of people with 3 kids sat right next to us and had no concept of other people. Completely lacked manners. It’s ironic cause the kids were well behaved and weren’t miss behaving. It was the adults they were with who were the loudest and surprisingly rude to the kids. I go to places like this to have a somewhat relaxing experience. Not to be inundated with grownups who keep yelling. We moved ourselves to the bar and it got better.
I will definitely be back. It gave me sort of The Chicken vibes but more modern and less chaotic. Just loved eating some good pub grub and drinking good beer with the music we had. Definitely give this place a try.
Food was pretty good. They did forget to put our order in so we reminded them. Boneless wings and the fries were good and salty.
Definitely will be back.
no-fuss,meet’n’greet howdy spot! Brewskies and more! Stopped spur of the moment on way to Huntsville. Glad we did! Friendly no-fuss got’cha-covered attitude. Sports bar vibes! Inside/outside/pickup/to go
The fish and chips were good. It was kind of awkward when the waitress told me “they forgot one of your fish in your order. They’ll bring it out when it’s ready.” So like 5 mins later, they brought out the other piece of fish. But that’s not why I’m giving them 3 stars.
When it came time to leave, we couldn’t get a hold of the waitress. We needed a box and there wasn’t anyone to be found. After 5 mins of waiting there, we finally got ahold of a waitress to get one for us. Then, she brings the box but no check. We waited another 10 mins before she came back and we asked for the check. After about 5 more mins she brings the check and we cash out. Then we realized they charged us for an additional appetizer we didn’t order. Getting ahold of the waitress took another long while. When we finally told her what happened she said she’d get it taken care for us. It took 15 mins for her and the manager (or owner) to remake the check. We finally got the corrected one and got out of there.
All in all, we loved the fish and chips but hated the service. The layout in there is very strange, as there seems to only be one enterance into the kitchen and a big, round bar in the middle of everything. The eating area itself is very, very small, with about 9 tables in total to eat at. It’s no wonder why there were people waiting by the door looking for a table.
They don’t have any drinks that I can’t get somewhere else and the service needs to improve. I wouldn’t come back here unless I was craving fish and chips, and even then I’d get it to go.
They have imperial pints!
The food is really good and all the sauces including tartar are homemade.
Great local adult hangout.
So don’t bring the kids and parking can be tight. The good news is they have permission to use the Red Cross lot next door after hours.
This was also during the pandemic and they did a fantastic job following all the proper protocol. We will absolutely be back!!
