We ordered Paneer Tikka Masala, Southern Lamb Curry, and Garlic Naan. The food seems to be mainly tailored to an American palate. The Paneer Tikka Masala had a noticeable sweetness, which we didn’t enjoy.
The Southern Lamb Curry had great flavor, though the meat could have been more tender. The Garlic Naan was very good as well.
Overall, we enjoyed the meal. I wouldn’t say the flavors are truly authentic Indian, but for anyone looking to try Indian-style fast food, this is a good place to visit.

This is like “Indian Fast Food,” a step down from an authentic Indian restaurant. My wife liked the samosas the coconut curry wings were ok. The Tkki Masala tasted liked what you would make at home with jar sauce. The Lamb Biryani was a little dry. The meal was underwhelming. I will not return. The empty parking lot was a tip off, I am afraid. Video attached.

This place was okay last time I had it so I tried to give it another shot, thinking maybe it would improve or at the very least stay the same…this is NOT biryani. It’s mushy rice chicken. The masala is oddly sweet and tastes like Chipotle sauce? Idk what they’re trying to pass as Indian food but this is not it… There was almost no chicken in it and it was lukewarm…there are so many other great authentic Indian restaurants, but this isn’t it.

Taste was good for Indian cuisine with variety of option from bowl to curry. They had option for spice level and type of proteins as well. Restaurant closing time was 9pm on Friday and we reached at 8pm. The restaurant felt as if ready to be closed with chairs above the table and when told we were dining , we did not feel welcoming . At 8.35pm staff was already clean the closed side with scented cleaners while the kids were still eating.

I am blown away but how consistently great Tikka Shack’s food is, and how solid of a concept the restaurant is in general. Let me start by saying that I love Indian food, and if there was a Tikka Shack near me it would be where I would take everyone that wanted to try Indian food for the first time. Naan tacos? Man c’mon, that’s genius and totally delicious, and also a very accessible way to get an idea for some of the flavors that Indian cuisine has to offer.
I won’t get into how “authentic” it is, simply because that’s a pretty tasteless thing for a white man to do, but I will say the food is absolutely amazing, reasonably priced, and served by friendly folks.
For the 4 months I’ll be in Rock Hill, this will be a very frequent stop for me.

I had a great experience at Tikka Shack in Rock Hill! The food tastes amazing and the portion sizes are generous. They also have a self-service kiosk, which makes ordering very easy and convenient. You can also order online if you prefer. Overall, it’s a great place for flavorful Indian food with good service and modern options for ordering!

I ordered the kids chicken tenders, mango salad, and a side of rice. The chicken was definitely not prepared in house, it was frozen. I asked for the mango vinaigrette to be put on the side. It was not. Service was extremely slow. We had a party of 9. After being there for an hour, 2 of our party still didn’t have their food. When we asked about the food, they argued with us saying we didn’t order it. We gave them the receipt to prove that we had. Very disappointing

First time we ordered paneer tikka and mix veg it taste was bad and sticky, there is no Indian spices flavor in paneer gravy, the gravy is not fresh.I think they use starch or frozen pkt, also they gave frozen naan. In mix veg cauliflower also not cooked. Rice is uncooked. Not recommended
For your kind information I post food pics here, this is my genuine review, please serve good food and please change your cheap words and way to treat your customers.
If you answer like this people will not visit again. and it doesn’t matter what I doing this is non of your business.
Thank you

We came here for the first time and the atmosphere was nice. The food was good, it had a nice spice level to it. Ordered from the menu and I had like a potatoes chicken curry dish like a Goya and it was more earthy then the butter curry that my husband had ordered which was butter Masala. The garlic Naan was really good would make a perfect pizza. We came with a party of four. The wait time for us wasn’t but like 10 minutes but saw other parties waiting on a Friday evening which restaurant seemed to only be busy with to go orders. The only thing I would say is portion sizes are small and alot of rice versus protein, and the containers they serve it in tend to soak up the curry sauce so you better eat fast. Will be back but only if eating lunch not dinner.

The Tikka Shack in Rock Hill is delicious! I have been there a few times now and have tried several different menu items. So far, ALL of the items have been yummy! I asked a staff member during one visit if the dishes they serve were “traditional Indian dishes” and as I suspected, the employee laughed a bit and said, “They are Americanized…” the atmosphere is quiet, well decorated and clean. Overall a pleasant experience. I will definitely be back!
