Atmosphere: it’s quick hot dining in this establishment.
Food: Chicken Biryani… wouldn’t recommend. I’ve most certainly had waaaayyy better.
Overall: Aesthetics of the place looks okay. Wouldn’t recommend. Need to work on the chicken biryani recipe. Spent a little under $15. Probably should got the tikka masala.

Shared a wonderful dish at the local Indiana Tikka Shack. We had the southern curry with garlic naan and biryani wings. My only regret is that the spicy levels only go to white people spicy. Thank you soulmen! It was great meeting you.

Yeah, I had high hopes. I had to come back. I ordered the Tikka Chicken and a side of Samosas. While I drove home, I devoured the Samosas. They were delicious. They were huge, flaky, dense, moist, and packed full of flavor. Honestly, I had never had a better Samosa—the potatoes were mashed with seasoning instead of cubed or chopped. I had never had it like that. I was so excited as I drove. I reside 25 mins away. I got home, and they gave me someone else’s food. It was butter chicken. OK, no problem. I’ll try it. However, it was flat. I mean no flavor or spice. In all fairness, it wasn’t what I ordered, and it was intended for someone else. Maybe it was how they ordered it. The next day, I took my order back. I had eaten 2 spoons fulls. I wasn’t given any pushback. They promptly replaced my Tikka at no cost. I showed them the bag with a different name. I also got 2 orders of Samosas and a lassi, too. I got home, and it was the same thing. It does have a tomato base, but no spice or flavor. It was very, very soupy. I was shocked.
I am only surprised because I work in banking, and all my coworkers are Indian. Their tikka is bomb. I mean, lips smacking delicious. I expected the food to be comparable. It was not. Then I realized they make this for the masses. I was very disappointed. I’m going to have to add the seasoning given to me by a coworker
The staff is very polite. It’s clean and vibrant inside, but for someone who loves authentic cuisine, this was subpar. If you want to tiptoe and try Tikka without jolting your palate, it’s a start.

I visited this Indian restaurant for the first time, and it was a great experience! When I placed my order, they asked if I wanted my food spicy. I said, “Just a little spicy,” but their version of “a little” turned out to be quite spicy for me—so be careful if you’re not used to heat!
The food was delicious, full of rich flavors and authentic spices. The only small downside for me was that the rice seemed slightly overcooked, but that’s just a personal preference. It didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the meal.
One thing I absolutely must mention—the mango lassi. It was absolutely divine! Creamy, refreshing, and the perfect balance of sweetness. If you visit this place, I highly recommend trying it.

The chicken Tikka masala was flavorful, as was the rice, and the portion size was just right for me. Also, the plain naan was very good. Overall, (without trying other dishes) I’d classify the Tikka Shack as a fastfood Indian eatery. The service was quick and the dining area was clean.

Me and my family have loved the food from Tikka Shack until this past Saturday (January 24, 2026) when we placed an online order for pick up only to arrive to the place being CLOSED. The charge of $39.51 went through from our banking account. Me and my husband have called multiple times and filled out the form on the “Contact Us” page on the website with no response. We need a refund. Your site should not take online orders if you are not open.
