Five stars aren’t enough! Dining at Chef Richard Blais’ new restaurant, Tiki Taka, was an unforgettable experience. The food was absolutely outstanding, a true celebration of flavor, creativity, and quality. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of surprising, delicious elements that made each bite exciting.

We were lucky to be cared for by the incredibly kind and talented Chef Scarlett, who went above and beyond to make our night special. She took time to walk us through the menu, understand our dietary restrictions, and offer personalized recommendations that we would have never considered on our own. Her passion and knowledge were inspiring. She even shared the origins of the spices and the beautiful produce sourced from small family-owned farms. It was a level of hospitality and culinary expertise that you rarely find.

As a longtime fan of Chef Richard Blais from Next Level Chef, Hell’s Kitchen, and MasterChef, it was a total thrill to finally experience his creations in person, and they did not disappoint. Scottsdale is lucky to have this new gem, and we’ll absolutely be back again (and again)!

We had an excellent experience at Tiki Taka! I especially enjoyed my table side sangria made with Nitro! Thank you Ernesto! It was like having dessert and a cocktail at the same time! The pork belly is to die for and the sushi rolls are fresh and delicious! Marcella was very attentive and absolutely charming! My husband and I also enjoyed the atmosphere and the music was perfect! Great date night location!

A new sushi-tapas restaurant by chef Richard Blais with some unique offerings. Service is a bit spotty and most of the dishes can use help as they are bland – shishito peppers that were watery and tasteless, and the sushi is just ordinary. But once they iron out their kinks, it has the makings of a happening spot.

We had an unforgettable & wonderful dining experience at Tiki Taka. It was an important evening as we were meeting dear friends we had not seen in several years. We were welcomed by a very friendly & cheerful staff. Once seated, the ambiance was cozy and intimate. We were immediately greeted by our server Shira who was very knowledgeable & extremely attentive to
us all evening. Being a vegan I was prepared to order rice & vegies and then unbeknownst to us, the amazing Chef (J.R.) personally came to our table and offered to prepare vegan versions of several of their dishes for for me! Then the food arrived and everyone in our group was blown away. Everything was fresh, flavorful & delicious! I was so impressed I asked to speak to the Manager (Julia) and let her know how what a great experience we had!

I had an amazing time at Tiki Taka! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was super warm and inviting, and the ambiance was just beautiful—perfect for a night out. The service was spot on too, with friendly and knowledgeable staff.

The food was incredible! Every dish was a great mix of Japanese and Spanish flavors, with highlights like the Spot Prawns “A La Plancha” and the Tiki Taka Roll. The Basque-Style Cheesecake and mochi were the perfect sweet finish.

The drinks were awesome—especially the Yuzu Delicious cocktail, so refreshing! Also, I LOVED the liquid nitrogen sangrias. Overall, Tiki Taka is a must-visit, and I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend!

Beautiful outdoor area. The hotel has a band playing outside on the weekends.

The food was terrible. They require the Wagyu steak option to be served well done! I’ve eaten local to A5 Japanese Wagyu at least a hundred times all around the world and this is simply unheard of and disgrace. If you like 6 bites of jerky for $40 then maybe you’ll be happy. No alternate temperature requests allowed on the steak option. Well done (probably even beyond well) only. The chorizo empanadas were bland. The shishito peppers were decent. The bluefin nigiri special was dry. We had to leave after those plates were such a disappointment.

Service was great! I felt so bad for her. This place will be closed in 6 months or less.

From walking in the door, the layout is VERY STRANGE! You have to walk to the back of a buffet style restaurant just to get to the odd hostess stand for Tiki Taka? Once seated the atmosphere was mediocre at best, Hyatt really lost me on this entire remodel, very corporate, zero warmth and all of it’s character has been stripped away. To the food. . . Again, barely mediocre! Small plates and big prices from Sushi to Spanish which is odd and both missing the mark drastically. Any time I hear “Celebrity Chef Inspired” I get REALLY NERVOUS. I assume they just paid Chef Richard Blais six figures to write down a bunch of obnoxious creations on an idea board and ran with it? I would shocked if Blais has ever eaten this disastrous menu. . . We live down the street and definitely won’t return! You can do much better in Scottsdale and Hyatt should be ashamed as well. . . I give it 6 months 🙂
