Before I even reached the hallway to the bathroom, I was confronted by a miserable woman—wearing inappropriately short shorts—who started yelling across the restaurant that I couldn’t be there and couldn’t use the restroom because I hadn’t ordered yet.
I wasn’t even able to respond. After a minute of being berated, she then proceeded to nearly scream at her teenage staff for not, apparently, tackling me to the floor because I hadn’t ordered yet.
This felt completely unreasonable as a customer, and it was unacceptable for her to publicly shame her coworkers for something entirely out of their control—and based on a completely incorrect assumption.
Hopefully this review, along with an email to corporate, will help curb this behavior in the future and create a better workplace for the staff. I feel worst of all for them, having to deal with a manager like that.
Update: we came back to have some lunch, lady at the counter said she couldn’t take my $100 bill, I asked if it was because she didn’t have any change, she said she had change but just weren’t accepting $100 bills because she didn’t have her marker at the moment and couldn’t find it (ridiculous) sent me next door to exchange my $100 bill and nobody could help me there, ignored us when we told her we couldn’t get the bill exchanged and started attending other customers, complete change of attitude when they couldn’t hep us get proper service, left with no food, empty stomach.
