The food here was so good! As we have visited many Mexican restaurants here in Jackson, many of them have been a disappointment. But this restaurant has been the best so far! At the beginning we didn’t expect much, but one the server brought the huge plate of chilaquiles with a big piece of steak and 2 eggs wooh! Exquisite! And I loved the Chicken Milaneza is a must try! Because it is lightly breaded and very well cooked and it is not greasy or oily as many others, look like healthy food to me. The place is very clean and neat. The lady who served our table needs to be more friendly, she looks so serious, but at the end she smiled when we complimented. One complain that we really have to bring to the GM’s attention is that when we were seating there, there were 3 employees seated there and they were drunk, 2 men and a lady, because of their conversations we noticed that they work there and they knew the older lady who was serving us. This people, specially the lady were so freaking loud and had an awful behavior when other 5 tables were eating there. They were drunk and cursing and being disruptive. That gives a very bad image to the place.

Pleasantly surprised at the authenticity of this restaurant. The atmosphere is authentic, the decor is authentic, and all the workers are authentic Mexican. When you hear authentic Mexican music coming from the kitchen, you know. Angela was our server and she did a wonderful job serving our meal and following up throughout to ensure we were being taken care of. The food was very tasty as expected. We are on a visit from Austin, TX and I have to say I did not expect this authentic experience that rivaled any Mexican food in Texas.

Has potential, but this feels weird to even say, the water tasted so bad you can’t drink it!! Taste like it comes out of a bad plastic container… then the meal, I had steak fajita and it had ZERO seasoning!!! The sizzling plate smelt BAD!

NEVER COMING AGAIN!! ALL of these new reviews are super accurate!! The place turned poor in Standards, Hygiene and Quality over time, Servers take forever, Restrooms stink like pee, Food Comes Cold, etc. I was with my husband there a while ago, and we got tortas, We would normally go there because of that particular (They used to do really good tortas). After being served and ate the first half of the Sandwich, I found a hair coming from inside the second half. We called the server, the older lady, and she had the audacity to state it was my hair!! But I never touched the other half since I had a bite on the first one… Very offensive and it costs pennies for them to prepare another one because is a HYGIENE ISSUE, but they denied to re-make it and made us pay for it since it was not “their fault”… I ended up charging back the card to get my refund forcefully AND WILL NEVER BE THERE AGAIN!!!

Terrible service and wait time for a “5 minute order” is just ridiculous. My first bad experience in a restaurant in Jackson and I have been here four months. I had initially called first and a young lady asks me what I’ll order and hangs up on me when I’m saying the order. Someone else answers (male) and takes my order. I get there and the food is sitting there cold by the register. The young lady that I believe was the only one there was the person who hanged up the phone. She’s too busy talking in the dining area and not noticing me till 8 minutes later. She asks for my postal code for the card information. She says it’s declined. She tells me several different times that it’s declined. I tell her to try it again and tells me she won’t do it. Another lady tells me it’s declined. I put in my information and it works. My card had money. They just did not want provide service to me. A waste of time and not to mention the food is terrible. Crusty, oily, and cold. What was supposed to be Tacos Al pastor (disappointing). Very Poor service and by far the worst Mexican restaurant that I have experienced by far. It doesn’t even deserve to be called authentic Mexican food. Go to El Metate!! Way better food in quality and the best service I have received. If you all are going to have a cashier make sure she is there and has a professional attitude and not making the customer wait. Still got charged $17 for the crusty smashed oily tacos and poor treatment I got from this cashier

Salsa and chips were really good.
After a while we were told our food would be out soon and it was delayed because a large order came in. Understandably.
We stayed a bit longer but ended up walking out after three parties that came into the restaurant after us were served. Not understandable.
Not sure what was up with that.

We were looking for a hole in the wall off the beaten path. Nailed it! Such great food. Very authentic, decent prices, great portion sizes. Service was a little slow but they were slammed with workers etc right at rush hour…so we get it. I had Milanesa Pollo and the other dish here is Pollo Rachero
