The price is definitely worth it for the quality and flavour. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the dining area felt cozy and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone craving delicious roasted chicken!
The patty itself was very thin and not as chunky as I would expect from a handmade burger, which was a bit disappointing.
Points for Improvement;
-The restaurant could provide wet tissues, as eating the burger can get quite messy.
Overall, the place is decent and the staff are polite.
Food-wise we ordered:
– Dynamite prawns
– Pulled beef mac & cheese
– Hash crunch chicken burger (I made it a meal with chips and a drink)
Let’s start with the drink because this impressed me — mocktails were included in the meal deal. You rarely see that. (And yes, mocktails being almost the same price as cocktails elsewhere is a separate debate entirely, nothing to do with this place!)
I got the Hawaiian Piña Colada — super creamy, almost ice-cream vibes, and I’m pretty sure there was some blue raspberry mixed in there. Very nice.
The dynamite prawns were MASSIVE. Proper chunky prawns. I just wish they’d been coated in a bit more of the sauce because the flavour was good.
The pulled beef mac & cheese was tasty — I’m not the biggest BBQ sauce fan but I actually didn’t mind it in this, it worked well.
Now…the burger. It was okay. The fried chicken fillet itself didn’t have much seasoning in the batter, and I think the generous sauce was doing a lot of the heavy lifting. The hash brown inside was a great touch though. However, the gherkins. I swear there were about 10 in there. I don’t mind gherkins but that was a full on pickle party.
Chips were decent — no complaints.
I will say, after fasting and walking around all day, hunger might have boosted the rating slightly, but overall we left very full.
Great service, thoughtful touches, generous portions — just a little tweak on seasoning and sauce balance.
Slightly disappointed by the brisket after reading the reviews but just may have not been to my taste.
Service: mixed, the man at the front was lovely and 10/10 service from the woman, however the male server wasn’t the most pleasant and made us feel rather uncomfortable.
Also found it a bit odd that all the food comes at the same time, would expect the starters to come first, especially because they are large, but they arrived at the same time as the mains which was slightly off putting.
Atmosphere: think it would be great for kids parties, loud music, pretty chaotic but liked how they had individual booths.
Would I come back? Not sure.. would possibly order the burgers for takeaway but think there are better options out there.
