I’ve been meaning to post a review of this place because they have been perfect every single time.

I ordered the Tacos Al Pastor, and my daughter gets the steak tacos. Normally we have 3 each but they smelled so good we couldn’t wait, which is why my tacos are a mess.

The ingredients are always fresh, the tacos are very full, and very well seasoned. They are also well worth the price.

The service is fast, polite, and friendly.

I can’t honestly comment on too much of the other menus items I’ve been stuck on the tacos, but there is a large selection of items.

I picked this place randomly for lunch with my kids today. It had a pretty high rating. Thatt said, I’ll never eat here again. I should have known something was off when it was completely empty. Everything was ala carte. The only service was to bring chips and salsa to the table and our food. No drink refills. My kids both got fajita quesadilla and I got around con Pollo. To drink we also bought 2 Mexican Coca-Cola and can of Pepsi. My food did not taste fresh and the kids were not too enthusiastic either. Frankly it all felt like microwaved sysco frozen meals. Total cost for 3 people after tax was $53 dollars. Normally it’s hard to screw up Mexican food, but I will never return and suggest that you avoid this place as well.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this was the WORSE Mexican food we have ever tried. We should have known by the place being empty. The food was gross, tortillas gummy. My fiancé took one bite of his street tacos and threw the rest away. It was really disappointing!! The smell of their place was extremely overwhelming and not in a good way. Lastly, they are way overpriced especially for the quality of their food.

It was really nice when I walked in. But there wasn’t a menu I could look at and get visuals or what in the food. Not many drink options. Nor dessert. Service was fast cause I was the only one there. The food was not that good. Not worth 10.99 for a burrito. Not only for the burrito there isn’t even nachos and dip. But overall not bad just waiting for a better upgrade then I’ll come back. The people were very nice though.

Real authentic Mexican food is finally in Shellyville. This joint is called Tierra Y Libertad Mexican Restaurant. I’m talking menudo, empanadas, enmoladas, tacos, tostadas, gorditas, you name it. If you want Tex mex or arroz con pollo, do not come here as you will not find it here. This is as authentic as it gets and honestly everything we had was fantastic. It is most definitely a hole in the wall type of joint so nothing fancy on the inside other than the food. We were amazed at the amount of variety they had to offer. The owners were very nice and accommodating. We got recommend to try out the Tlayudas which are essentially large thin and crunchy tortillas filled with whatever meat, beans, cheese, and cabbage. I got the asada option and my sister got the chorizo. They were so tasty and honestly huge. One Tlayuda is probably good for two to be honest but I powered through one myself. My dad ordered some tacos, one Al pastor, tripe, and suadero. He thought they were very good. It’s nice to know that there’s something like this in Shelbyville as there seems to be an abundance of Tex mex style food here.
Will come back and try some other offerings from their menu

I went to ask if they had any special pricing for taco Tuesdays. I was told no! I then asked how much one taco was and was told it was $4!!! I then asked if that taco came with anything like rice or beans for that price, which is expensive for one taco, and was told, no! I left.

Most expensive taco in Shelbyville!
