Reviews
the mussels in broth – so tasty;
the smashed potato which I enjoyed the slight charring to the skin like a bonfire potato;
the sweetbreads piccata – amazing! The breaded texture on the outside of a softer sweetbread inner and the lemony kick of capers were so good!
The steak tartare was a lovely texture though a think a pinch of salt would have improved it a little
The beef Rendang pie is magnificent! All the flavor of a Rendang curry enclosed in Rough puff flaky pastry! So good after eating the first one we ordered a second!
The final item we tried was the Paella and it did not disappoint. It came with a side of green salad and garlicky aioli. We squeezed the cooked lemon half on top before we dug in. The clams were bright and salty lemon flavored, the large shrimp beautifully cooked and the rice had the perfect crust to it where we scraped it off the pan. It was a delight!
My hubby drank Kolsch beer which he said was good, I had a Ticonderoga cup which I enjoyed and the young adults with us both had mocktails which they enjoyed particularly the grapefruit pop.
Well worth the trip in to have such a wonderful gastronomic experience
Unfortunately, the food itself was just okay. There were a few bright spots—the salad was great, and the wok vegetables were very good—but some dishes missed the mark. The paella lacked the expected crust on the bottom, and while the rice was flavorful, the seafood was quite bland. A few guests ordered the tuna and the lamb burger and said they were good, but no one at the table was truly wowed by the food.
This was a different experience from our previous visits, which made the evening a bit disappointing. At this price point, it’s hard to spend over $600 on dinner and leave feeling that the food was merely fine. While the service and team were outstanding, they weren’t quite enough to make up for the underwhelming meal
During my visit, the tartare was a highlight—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. It paired wonderfully with the Ticonderoga Cup cocktail, which was expertly crafted and balanced, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the meal. The combination of inventive dishes and thoughtful drinks makes each visit feel like an adventure for the taste buds.
It’s not just a meal; it’s an experience. If you enjoy stepping outside the ordinary and trusting the chef to guide your culinary journey, this is the spot. Creative, flavorful, and full of surprises, it’s exactly the kind of place that keeps me coming back.
No notes from me – very highly recommend!
It was perfectly cooked and contained fresh ground horse radish, our int out the char.
The drinks were also delicious and the crew they had working at the bar were super friendly.
The atmosphere is charming, designed like an old school dive bar with a cozy, welcoming vibe. We sat at the bar, and our bartender made the experience even more memorable with his knowledgeable recommendations and friendly conversation. He even crafted a custom hibiscus mocktail for me, which was incredible.
The food was outstanding. We started with the ceviche, which was mind-blowing. It had an addictive spicy kick that kept us going back for more despite the heat. Ceviche was intensely flavorful and unlike any ceviche I’ve had before.
We also tried the pork and the crispy eggplant, both infused with bold Asian flavors. The eggplant, in particular, was a standout with its crispy, unique preparation and something I’d come back for in a heartbeat.
Even though I’m just visiting Atlanta, I’m already thinking about returning. The food, the hospitality, and the attention to detail, especially in the cocktails (which I watched being made right in front of me) make Ticonderoga Club a place you’ll want to revisit.
