We started off with some tea and alligator bites, which I couldn’t get enough of. The gator came out hot and had a good, savory flavor.
We split two entrees: The Seafood Platter and the Redfish Tacos (both of which came with a salad). The fish and shrimp tasted fresh and the hushpuppies were some of the best I’ve had!.
For dessert, we got the cheesecake which was a great way to end the nice! It wasn’t overly sweet either, and so I didn’t feel stuffed by the end.
The atmosphere made me feel like I was dropped into Galveston or Louisiana. The walls were plastered with all sorts of Country and Rock musicians which my friend and I had fun naming off. There was even live music too, which was the cherry on top!
100% would come back again! Thinking about getting the huge bucket of crawfish next time.
I ordered the salmon platter which included Mexican rice and veggies. It also came with a side salad which was a nice bonus. Now because of my allergies, I had to try something simple and uncomplicated and this was the best choice for me.
My food came to me luke warm which I was not happy with, my salmon was seasoned well but mildly dry and slightly overcooked. The Mexican rice also was somewhat tasty but it had too much salt. I also tried the gumbo with chicken and sausage and again I was disappointed because it didn’t taste like a good traditional gumbo. This gumbo fell severely short of a good balance of seasoning and flavor. It had an awful burnt after taste to it and it was thin and broth like, instead of a having a silky roux texture. This gumbo variation had ” shredded” chicken it. In all the places I’ve visited across the country, I’ve never eaten a gumbo with shredded chicken before. Never. So this was strange to see. See the picture I posted.
For my dessert, I opted to try the Bourbon bread pudding. It was absolutely delicious.
Would I eat at this restaurant again? Yes I probably would, because the atmosphere was lively and full of good energy, the meal was decent and the dessert was really good, but the chefs need to drastically improve on that gumbo soup. C-
Definitely 10000% recommend if you’re in the area.
Food was good.
Restaurant was Very Loud at the time, Have multiple tvs sounds on, and on top of that a Live Band was trying to play.
Definitely not like the other two Tia Juanitas Camps ive been too. Would go again but never when it’s that loud, Food was good and waitress did excellent job.
Bathrooms were not very clean either.

Parking is quite small and minimal on that day, unless you park in front of one of the other businesses.
The fish in both dishes were delicious. The atmosphere is great. Had a margarita it was very good.
Great customer service.
Highly reccomend.
