Another 1st for us mainly because I don’t eat seafood but they have a variety of options. I got crispy tacos and fried ribs hubby got fried fish poboy with chicken and sausage gumbo. The top shelf margarita with Don Julio was great as well.

The food was great. The gumbo tastes more like a soup versus gumbo. The restrooms are dirty and need to be better maintained. This was unacceptable.

Madison was an awesome waitress…she truly is a people-person. I must say it was too cold but one of the other waitresses asked to have the air a little warmer…we were not the only ones complaining; that is the reason for the four-star.

Amazing food! We stopped in on a road trip and we were not disappointed! The atmosphere is great as well as the food and service! The Oysters on the half shell is what really sold us on this place! We would recommend it to anyone!

I’ve made it an unspoken rule to not order seafood so far inland. I’m glad I broke it here. Not only was the food great but the oysters and shrimp were perfectly cooked! I was so impressed I returned for more oysters two days later. I will definitely be back!

Me, my husband and our two boys came here to eat dinner. It was his first time and my second time. The front staff can be a little rude when asking for a specific table. It wasn’t busy so not sure what the problem was. Our server was nice but was horrible to say the least. I couldn’t tell if she was new or not, she seemed like it but regardless she was not good at all. She didn’t know any of the beers, liquors or could recommend anything. She seemed like she had no idea about anything on the menu to be honest. My husband asked for a corona and she was asking him what that was? That’s pretty bad. We ordered the alligator bites which I’ve had before but this time they were undercooked. My husband ordered a fried fish basket and said it was ok. I ordered a shrimp quesadilla and it was pretty good no complaints on that. The main issue was the waitress really… I had to ask her each time to take this and take that since it was four of us and we were sat a smaller table. I should not have to ask you to take dirty plates off our table that we were clearly done with so we could eat the rest of our comfortably. Once we were done eating she didn’t even ask if we wanted another drink or desert she just gave us our check. Very nice girl but as a server not so much. We will continue to come because we do like it there but maybe management should train their servers better because it’s not a good look when you have a server that bad.

I still feel bad about the way we were treated here yesterday. I was traveling with my brother-in-law, who is African American. The waitress filled my husband’s glass with tea and ignored my brother-in-law’s empty glass. We asked for tea for him. It took her a while to return. I watched her set out in our direction, go back and get a male to come to our table with her. She set the glass down in front of him and then filled mine and my sister’s glasses with tea. The male stood there in an imposing way and walked off behind the waitress. I have never experienced anything like this in my life. The waitress ignored my brother- in- law the entire meal. I don’t want to believe it was racism but it felt that way. Before leaving, I looked around and realized, my brother-in-law was the only black person in sight. Leaves me feeling sick and sad. My heart is still heavy.

This place was really good. I enjoyed the atmosphere and all the things on the wall. I was surprised to find a spot like this in little ol’ Lufkin. The shrimp brochette had a nice flavor. The grits that come with it were excellent. The boudin balls were a good size and had a nice flavor with the dip that it came with.

It’s all ways a pleasant atmosphere, very friendly waiters and waitresses, they’ve always been very attentive to our needs. The food is out of this world, we’ve been a half a dozen times so far, everything we’ve tried has been top notch.

Great experience all around. Food was excellent and the service was phenomenal! Atmosphere is really good with the only small exception being the noise level however, everything else more than compensates for that. This was our first time there and I can assure you, it won’t be our last! Well done!
