Best AUTHENTIC Italian restaurant in Hobart!
No garlic bread, no Chicken with your pasta, just authentic and true Italian flavours.
The polenta and salami antipasti is a truly sensational trip to Venice and the “cicchetti” tradition, while the lamb ragu gnocchi something you’ll find in the old school trattoria in Tuscany or Abruzzo. Great value for money, small but thoughtful wine and drink list and Val and all the team are great hosts as well:)

Service: 10/10 (Excellent, we were greeted quickly)
Cocktail: 10/10
Spaghetti: 5/10 (we had the garlic prawns spaghetti and the noodle was really overcooked. Prawn tasted wonderfully though)
Pizza: 7/10 (Toppings were excellent but they over cooked the bread, leaving some burnt parts. You can spot them in the picture too)
Tiramisu: 8/10
Overall, highly recommended for the service and atmosphere. Just dont hold high expectations for the food.

I know this place is meant to specialise in Pizza but we found ours quite sloppy and soggy 🙁 however the pasta was INCREDIBLE.
Service was also super warm and friendly. But it took a while for the food to come and for service to come around and take orders etc.
It’s an interesting sophisticated vibe in the restaurant. Large-ish space that seems good for groups. The bathroom was very dark.

My friend and I were in Hobart for two nights and heard about this awesome place with a disco ball pizza oven, so naturally we had to check it out. What a fun spot! We shared two pasta dishes, the chilli prawn special and the fettuccine beef brisket ragu. Soooo delicious and both were cooked to perfection. The beef was my favourite. I wish they had one in Sydney!

Very cool little spot. Love the vibe & the colours. Food was amazing, and the banquet was good value! The pizzas were huge & the waiter was lovely enough to offer us a half & half option. Also, the frosty fruit cocktail was probably the best cocktail I’ve ever had 10/10 The pizzas were also so big that we got to take the leftovers home for lunch the next day!

We first visited Ti Ama back in February for our honeymoon and had dinner there most nights, and we absolutely loved it. We just returned this past weekend for our babymoon and once again found ourselves eating there nearly every night. The food, the staff, and the atmosphere are all incredible. Ti Ama is hands down our number one favourite restaurant and one of the main reasons we decided to come back to Tasmania. My husband is a pizza addict and he said that the pizza here tops anything he’s ever eaten, and I have now had all the pasta dishes and I cannot fault any of them! We’re already looking forward to returning next year with our little one!

my partner and i ate here for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. pizza is 10/10, food came out quickly and the atmosphere is really nice. however the highlight of our night was one of the servers. i didn’t catch his name but he was super friendly and we had a great chat as we were paying for our meal! it makes such a difference to have staff who are good at their jobs and properly friendly. we will definitely be back

Good Italian restaurant if you don’t have dietaries. The online menu filled the reader with optimism that there were enough GF options to satisfy a coeliac diner in the usually worrisome Italian restaurant. Sadly the menu misrepresented what was truly gluten free. Fried items were listed as GF even though it was done in a contaminated fryer and there was no substitute offered. The only substitute for pasta was gnocchi – which was delicious and really well done – but again, not clear on the menu. The waiter did their best and was very helpful in the circumstances. Please be more clear on the menu for coeliacs! Or make a couple of changes to give coeliacs more options.

Had dinner at Ti Ama on a Sunday night and it absolutely lived up to the hype—hands down the best pizza in Hobart. This is proper Italian pizza, not the heavy, American-style kind. The base was light, perfectly cooked, and full of flavour, with quality toppings that really stood out. You can tell they care about authenticity here. They also offer takeaway, which is great if you’re in the mood for a cozy night in. The location is super convenient and easily walkable from the city centre. Prices were decent too, especially for the quality. A must-visit if you’re in Hobart and craving real Italian pizza
