I tried Thurgood Creamery recently with some friends. The overall consensus was not great. I didn’t mind my ice cream, I ordered the pistachio ice cream. I thought it tasted good with a fair amount of actual pistachios in the ice cream. Two people in our group ordered the cookies and cream ice cream. They did not like it at all. Said it tasted oily to them. Another friend in our group ordered the cookie monster & said it also tasted oily. They had a lot of different flavors. I’m not sure what the chance of two different ice creams both tasting oily was. Our group said they wouldn’t be back overall. The line was really long when we got there but I felt like it went quickly. Seemed like a very popular place. I thought the prices vs portions were just okay. If you go, I would suggest the pistachio ice cream personally. It was decorated cute & seemed like a fun hangout kind of place.

Usually I have a positive experience at Thurgoods but today I was disappointed. I got three different one scoops and the amount was significantly less than I typically get. Usually the one scoop is quite generous and overflows at the top. Today mine didn’t even hit the top of the cup. The other individuals who had different workers had the typical overflowing scoop. Wish that every worker did the same generous amount everytime.

So right off the bat, The ice cream and the portions are wonderful, let alone being a great value at that. I really enjoy the ice cream especially the ooey gooey butter cake.
BUT I got the brownie sundae this time. I joked I wanted the diabetic disaster, little did I know the brownie was going to be a genuine disaster. The first brownie they pulled was so hard that I literally could not cut it with a spoon. I nearly launched my tray off the table. When I did manage to make a cut it exploded brownie everywhere. When I said to the staff that the brownie was exceedingly hard and impossible to cut they asked if I wanted it warmed up… No, I want it edible.
The follow-on was warmed up, which made a marginally better, but it still was just a bad brownie that was /still/ stale. 10/10, do not get the brownie, it’s not just bad, it’s a disaster.
If their ice cream wasn’t so good, this would be a solid 2 star experience.

Pleasantly surprised! Very good ice cream and sorbet. Best Pistachio I think I’ve ever had. Honeycomb was darn good too. Generous servings, kind staff, nice atmosphere.

Super cute atmosphere. Fun Halloween decor. Lots of fun ice cream flavors! I had the cookie butter flavor which was delicious. Kids size scoop was great for me. My daughter thought the kid scoop was huge.

This is my first time here. The strawberry cheesecake is to die for, cheesecake is my favorite and this ice cream did not disappoint! My daughter was craving something with brownies in it, she didn’t really want chocolate ice cream but the heifer’s revenge was what she decided on even though it was all chocolate. She absolutely loved hers, it is a lot of chocolate though! I also love how they have some dairy and gluten free options.

This is the best ice cream I’ve had in a long time. Certainly the best in Utah that I’ve had. The flavors are delicious — especially the honeycomb!! The honey roasted macadamia nut is also great Honestly we had several of them and they’re GREAT. One thing you should prepare yourself for — the portion sizes are HUGE so you likely won’t finish if you get 2 scoops. A kids cup is plenty of ice cream for most ppl, unless you’re looking to blob out.
Parking is easy; there’s a free lot with plenty of parking outside. There is plenty of indoor seating and it looked like one table outside.
They have a rewards program here and we joined because we’re definitely coming back!

Today was their grand opening, so we took our kids to get some ice cream. When we got there around 6:00, the line was out the door. It seemed to move pretty quickly though.
We all got waffles cones (except the youngest) and the waffle cones are made fresh! They are warm when they hand them to you!
It was so busy so we didn’t try anything before buying, but they do have little spoons and let you try a sample. They have some year round flavors as well as some seasonal ones.
I had a scoop of the cookie dough and a scoop of the salted caramel and my tastebuds were rocked! It was the creamiest most flavorful ice cream I’ve had in a long time! My husband and kids were obsessing over their ice cream too!
My husband and I want to come back for a date night and try more flavors!

It’s been a rough day. I was getting a craving for ice cream. Not just the stuff I usually get at Walmart. I haven’t been to Thurgood Creamery before as I moved down a few months ago and haven’t been to very many shops.
I go and get my favorite flavor of Ice Cream, Cookies and Cream. Single scoop Waffle cone. The scoop was as big or bigger than my fist. The employee who was serving me even laughed when they saw my face of shock, amazement and surprise. I don’t blame them. I would have too.
Ice cream craving was satiated. Great customer service. I will be coming back here for future ice cream cravings. 5/5 stars.
