Very quick service. Laid-back casual atmosphere. No frills decor. I’ve had better dumplings, but there better than most probably some of the best in Rochester. Not in a super thin dough high-end like China type of dumpling, but probably the best you’re gonna get around here. Overall, very little to complain about. If you like dumplings you should try this place. Pork Belly buns are decent, but not as as good as other places. Soup dumplings are delicious. Dan and noodles are not nearly as spicy as the authentically should be.

Okay Chinese restaurant. They may need to pay more attention on Food safety.
I came here Monday evening, before 6pm and the restaurant was half full. I didn’t have to wait to be seated. Restaurant is bright and loud pop music and heavy bass and I feel like it’s a bit too much. They do scan QR code to view menu. I got Lan Zhou noodle and Tso chicken. The noodles broth was good, not too spicy. They gave too much noodles (in my opinion). The Tso chicken was pretty good, not the best I ever had but it’s on top of the list. I would give them 4 stars if I did not find “non-food” item in my mouth after the first bite of the chicken. It was a piece of stainless steel scrubber. Hope the restaurant staff be more careful while preparing food.

We came on a Saturday evening and it was packed but we got a table within 15 min and our servers were great! The pork belly buns are SOOO good!! The peanut hoisin sauce has such good flavor and crunchy texture and goes so well with the soft bun and pull-apart tender meat!
The BBQ pork buns were delightfully thick & fluffy and full of sweet flavorful bbq meat inside. The pork xiao long bao tasted fresh and were so fun to eat. We really liked these buns & xiao long bao, and also the Szechuan flavors we ordered: the dan dan noodles were spicy but delicious, tasted authentic with that mouth numbing spice, and the Szechuan wontons were really good too, very mouth numbing. The beef flat rice noodle dish is sweet/salty and tasty, while the sweet mango stir fry was spicy sweet. The chicken cabbage roll dumplings are super good.
The only dish we didn’t enjoy was the Lan Zhou spicy beef noodle bowl, which had a bland broth and meat that was mostly chewy gristle—hardly any good edible beef.
The bathrooms are in need of cleaning and better quality toilet paper.

First time. Decently crowded. Interior pictures are a bit deceiving. Reality seemed like a fast food place. Food was good. I had dumplings which were yummy. My son had General Taos chicken which was good but different than other places he is used to. However, the place looked disheveled. We sat next to a cleaning station which is prominent when you enter. Carts with dirty dishes next to us. Waited so long for service I thought we had to go to counter to order. When I did, the person at the counter who was on the phone motioned for me to go sit down. I saw another review that mentioned the loud music. That didn’t bother me but it was a weird vibe. I would love to try again but I think next time I will try takeout. Food was good but not an ideal place to eat in.

Wow. Amazing dumplings house in rochester. While their menu has some traditional Chinese dishes, the dumplings are the obvious winner here.
Had all the dumplings and they are really good.

We had lunch here with high hopes,. The service was very good and attentive, but the food was mixed.
The spring rolls and wonton soup are excellent, but all of the bao (buns) items were extremely overly doughy and some even felt raw. Very little filling on both the red bean bao and bbq beef bao.
The spicy dumplings had an awful flavor to them and were inedible. The shrimp shumai had a very fishy taste.
Most disturbing, however, were the wooden cups in which the tea was served. I’ve never seen that done at any restaurant and I had some reservations about cleanliness… Then after about 20 minutes, I looked over at my husband‘s cup and was horrified to see a lipstick stain on it… Not mine, either. This is emblematic of why wooden cups and bowls should not be used in restaurants settings.

I come here every time I’m in Rochester because the food is so deliciously on-point! Schezuan Wontons are my go to…so numbingly spicy. But today’s winner was the dumpling special pork and corn in a squid-ink wrapper. I’ll be dreaming about this, and wishing I ate too many of them! Pork buns are also excellent. Never had anything bad or even meh here. So get what sounds good. You can’t go wrong. Service is always friendly and efficient, the people who work front of house do a great job.

Very casual dumpling house, not extremely busy tonight, in my favor, but food came out quickly and was very hot. Made to order, not premade. 5% discount for cash. Nice variety of dishes.
