I love this place! Everytime I’m in Cedar Park I have to eat here!
The staff are fast and friendly, especially Declan and Luke who pay attention to the details of your order! The food and bread is always fresh!
Still one of the ONLY places with Alfalfa Sprouts for a topping!
My daughter is a vegetarian and can ALWAYS find something to eat here!
I’m not in this area often but when I am, I dine-in and order something else to go to eat later that night or for lunch the next day.

** UPDATE. Received 3ea $5.00 gift cards to Thundercloud subs.
Ordered a tuna sandwich on Aug 7th and it was an inedible soggy mess dripping with mayo. Manager promised me a refund and even a replacement sandwich, but weeks later I’ve received nothing despite multiple calls. I paid for a meal I never got to eat. Also, their 4.5 star Google rating feels misleading—clearly negative reviews are being filtered or fought off, because my experience was nowhere near that rating.

Awesome sandwich shop! Great food at very affordable prices! Best chicken salad ive ever had. The Big Paul is also a favorite! Plenty of parking. Handicap accessible. Great location. Friendly service. I highly recomend!

I want to start off by saying the employee who made our food and rang us up was very nice, and was thorough with handling our allegery concerns. Unfortunately who I assume was manager/shift lead was being rude to the 2 employees working. When we came in she was using the tablet needed to order, so the person trying to serve us was unable to for 5 minutes. She was complaining to them and micromanaging the entire time we were there. Even if something is wrong, it shouldve been addressed privately and respectfully.

here is what you need to know before coming to this location:
it’s just difficult to find this location cuz it sort of tucked away it in the outside
That’s I recorded a video on what it looks like coming into the parking lot which you either need to be coming eastbound on Whitestone boulevard and then taking immediate right to get into the proper stocking complex here but there’s an edible eat the parts and Ruby boutique I’ll cut the way over here around this thundercloud subs
that being said thunder cloud subs been around since 1975 and I personally love their tuna sandwich or what I like to do especially when they send me coupons like they did today for buy one get one free for Father’s Day is to have them combine two tuna sandwiches into instead plastic container with their phenomenal mustard breast diced jalapenos right before you fresh, lettuce, onion, and special spice.
plenty of indoor dining area even though it doesn’t look like it from the outside nearest outdoor dining area in the shade under a tree as well as a men’s restroom in a woman’s restroom separate from one another and a variety of drink and chip options including 7UP which is really hard to find these days on tap
they also have in the freezer special glass root beer that’s hard to find as well as a special lemonade in a can of never seen before again some of the many unique things you’ll find us under cloud subs you really won’t find anywhere else
again it’s not the sandwiches I can also do party trays salads and even smoothies so I’ve not tried their smoothies yet and you can also do phone in orders to go
parking I could see on that certain day could be tricky cuz it’s shared with all these other lows locations and as for today it was easy finding parking around this location and was quick in and out
customer service staff here I would say is the big one because from thundercloud to thunder cloud it always varies but the staff here real quick knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make my lunch just the way I wanted it and made the check out process quick and easy I’ll keeping up with back-to-back orders coming in

ThunderCloud makes the best bang for your buck sandwiches in Austin! It’s shocking how good they are without heating them up. The classic club is always packed full of meat and cheese. Be sure to add thunder sauce because it gives each sandwich that extra kick to put it over the top. Then again, these sandwiches are there already.

I have trouble giving them a 3 star review because despite the service being fast and the place being on the clean side with an ok atmosphere, the sub was somewhere between not terrible and just barely edible. I know not to expect an “Italian” sub in this part of the country to be on par with the hero sandwiches that I grew up with on Arthur avenue and Villa avenue. But this sub actually made Jersey Mike’s look very good and authentic. The ham was tolerable. The salami was similar to Genoa salami from a package at Walmart. However the capicola was my arch nemesis today. I had to spit out half of it since it was closer to a rubber band than actual meat. The bread was too soft and mushy, no bite to it whatsoever. The tomatoes were not red enough and had no flavor at all. This is one of the worst reviews that I’ve regrettably had to write. And I must reiterate that I had to really fudge it a little just to be able to give an overall 3 stars. The only major positive was that the sub was so cheap that I didn’t feel like I threw any money away. If only my buddies at Katz’s saw what I had for lunch today. Glad I didn’t try the pastrami.

Not my favorite sub. Kind of small and I got the large one. Also narrow and had minimal veggies. Requested optional peppers but again small size did not leave ample room and couldn’t really taste them. Friendly service however and plenty of seating.

We’ve been coming here for a long time at least once a week and today my sandwich wasn’t good. The bread was old and tasted and felt old. I ate about half of it and told the guy who made the sandwich that it wasn’t good and immediately he said, the bread tastes old, doesn’t it? He said, I had a meatball sandwich earlier and the bread was terrible.
I threw the rest of the sandwich in the garbage and he said, I’m sorry sir. There was no attempt to make it right, give me a coupon for a future visit or anything. We probably won’t be back. There are too many other sandwich places in the area!!
