Here at the pub we reach for that certain old-fashioned aesthetic that fits so perfectly with such establishments, making it a destination for craft / world beer -and- whiskey bar connoisseurs. As for food, there is a fine and tasty menu of pub-inspired fare. Service- she did an adequate job but was probably overwhelmed because a few tables arrived after us.
Atmosphere- nice pub vibe!
When you come here, I suggest taking time, ordering a beverage of choice, relaxing, letting the weight of the world dissipate from your aura, and enjoy your life.
The one young woman working on a Thursday afternoon had 10 customers to deal with, 5 at the bar, regulars it appears, and 5 in for late lunches. She was friendly but obviously had more to do than she was able to do. Never did get our silverware.
Tasty pub chips, lightly salted but not as crispy as expected. Touch stale?
Fish tacos were quite good. Breaded fish, different than most, stayed hot a lot longer than most fish tacos. Good flavor in that sauce.
Music is eclectic but inoffensive. Volume is appropriate for the venue.
Beer selection is quite varied, showing a lot of locals, some serious ABV offerings (a 15% porter!) as well as lightweight mega-brews that everyone knows by name. Plenty in the middle also.
Having driven past for months, I’m glad I finally got inside. If it weren’t for the paid parking, I’d get in here quite a bit.
French onion soup is on point.
Very good beer selection on tap.
Excellent service.
engaging and entertaining as her deserves recognition and appreciation. Sad to see her go. Food is subpar. Don’t see a reason to go back now.
Atmosphere: cold, as always you want to keep your jacket or coat on. What is the problem here with serving hot food??? It’s been this way for years !!
Second time here and will definitely be coming back more!
