I’ve been here & other locations quite a few times & my experience’s have been good. My order was wrong one time & a couple times I had to wait a long time but for the most part they always have what I want & I get in & out in a good time. I use to get the smothered pork chops they were really good but then I became a pescatarian now I mainly get Salmon or Catfish which are really good too & they cook it fresh so you get it straight off the grill. The staff is welcoming but they have those days sometimes but it’s a good soul food place & the prices are expected.

If you’re on a soul food budget this isn’t the place for you. However,… if you want quality this is the place to grub. The food is phenomenal and the customer service was A1. Pricey but worth every dime. I ordered the baked chicken, collard greens, Mac n cheese, sweet potatoes and black eye peas with a sweet tea for the drink.

I walked in ready to get a salmon or tilapia plate and was frustrated at how bad this location has gotten. The gentleman before me was upset because the left over pork chops looked disgusting and the female cook refused to cook more at least enough for him to eat. I then asked if I could get salmon the female cook shook her head no saying nomore then I asked for tilapia and she stated I could get it. I was then asked by a gentleman behind the line grilled or fried and I asked for grilled. The cook then said no I’m not making grilled fish. So I was left with no option. I was told the grill is broken/down which was a lie. The only other meat on the line was chicken nothing else. They close at 10 and customers walked in and out once they saw the only option. This location will lose a lot of money and reliable customers if they can not produce better service. I appreciate the young lady at the cash register for being polite and greeting me as I walked in. I will not be returning.

Staff friendly and the food is great. I got 2 plates meatloaf mashed potatoes greens and green beans, and smothered chicken breast n gravy over yellow rice black eyed peas and sweet potatoes.

Usually pretty good but the kitchen dude working today really messed it up . I got charged for food they didn’t even have, like why wouldn’t you check that ? and then the food I did order took literally forever. The girl working was acting like I was bothering her by asking . and I missed my lunch so couldn’t even enjoy it but thanks anyway.

Late Post (Ordered March 23rd). Everything was delicious for the most part, the baked beans just weren’t it for me, I’ll be skipping those next time. The fried whiting is always just right!

I do not know what kind of oil chicken wings are fried in, but smell was strong. Was it recycled? Had to throw it out. Glad I paid attention to amount charged because I was overcharged and had to get credited for difference. Wasted lunch.
