Hidden gem. Ramen Ray is everything I had been looking for in a ramen shop. I have finally found my go to Ramen spot. It’s a small and cozy restaurant run by two ladies. The decoration is warm. There was Jpop playing audibly but not loud enough to discourage conversation in the background, First Love by Utada Hikaru brought back a lot of past memories.

I asked the lady for a recommendation and she recommended the Miso or spicy Miso ramen if I like it very spicy. I ordered the spicy Miso ramen and it definitely has a kick to it. At my first spoonful of soup, I was shocked at how bland it was. My system was in shock because it was prepared for the salt shock it typically receives at ramen places. I really liked it because it was not so salty that I needed to add water to the bowl in order to drink the soup. With each additional spoonful of soup and bite of ramen, corn and chashu pork, I started tasting the subtle flavors that grew. It was a culinary masterpiece that needed to be patiently experienced until the very end. I was utterly satisfied. I will definitely be back to try the various appetizers, chicken paitan, pork shio, shoryu, tantan and tonkotsu ramen.

At $18.5 pretax and $23 total, with an appetizer it was over $30 so it was not a cheap meal but very enjoyable.

Love this ramen shop! The ramen and broth are flavorful without feeling heavy. Perfect for a lunch spot! Been coming here for years and never disappointed! Don’t sleep on this place!

Best ramen I’ve had in Indy so far. I tried the black garlic tonkotsu ramen, and the broth was rich and flavorful.
The chashu was tender, and all the toppings were solid. I added an egg topping—one half comes with the ramen, and the extra charge gives you an additional half.
Price is on the higher side, but since there aren’t many good ramen spots in Indy, it feels justifiable.
You order through a tablet, but the food is served to your table, and you don’t need to return your dishes afterward.
I’d like to try the shio ramen next time.

No frills ramen spot. Gyoza was very good. Tonkotsu ramen is very rich. Black garlic has nice umami flavor. Oyako ramen was very flavorful. Noodles had a great bite to them. Reminded us of our trip to Japan.

As someone who’s lived in Japan, I’d say the ramen is traditional, sort of. The food wasn’t seasoned, so we had to add soy and sesame oil to bring out any flavor in the broth, which then became delicious. The eggs weren’t marinated, and it didn’t taste like the pork was marinated either, which is disappointing. It was a decent bowl with plenty of noodles, but for the cost, it should have had a bit more pork. The self service screen was not as straight forward. If I’m having to order and season my food, I don’t think having someone drop off and pick up my food is worth 15% or more of a tip, so why ask? Either offer service and tip, or make it self service and no tip. Gyoza was awesome. Ramen was decent. Place was clean.

I’ve eaten here on several locations. Over the past 5 or 6 years the price goes up and the quality goes down. It’s still really good. Don’t get me wrong but from the way it was 8 years ago the broth is not as tasty. I don’t think it’s the same pork but had $20 a bowl. It nearly has to be perfect. I will continue to go back because I have love for Juneson.

Went here on a whim when we were craving a hot bowl of soul-soothing ramen on a cold, winters day. Glad we did. Everything here felt homey and freshly made. They also have plenty of options in regards to flavors of ramen. The place is a little small and out of the way, but if you’re looking for a fresh hot bowl of noodles look no further.

This is the best ramen I have found in indy. It’s the second best ramen I have had. Best being in San Francisco. But I am so grateful for thus spot close to home. The flavors are incredible as is the service. The dining area could use some updates .. but the food is on point. I had the black garlic. And it was so good. Full of flavor all the way. The dumplings were fresh and incredible.. come eat here. Make thus place stay in business.. its a gem for the city.

I don’t make many reviews, but omg this place was incredible. I was craving Ramon and this place popped up first. Service was so nice and fast. Food was so good I could cry. It came out hot and fresh. Cheaper than a lot of major restaurants. Absolutely incredible and I’m craving more.
