12/10 dive bar.. You know she’s a northern Michigan beauty when the wood stove is vented into the air duct in the middle of the bar. We loved this place. Shot pool with locals, scoped out everyone’s work boots, drank ice cold beer for nothing in price and shot the shit with the friendly owner.
If you’re an uptight snob, this place isn’t for you.. for anyone else – take a stop bye. I will be returning.

This place is awesome! Walked in and we were the only people there at first. Dave was great to talk to and filled us in on the surrounding area. Then the place started to fill up with all different kinds of people. Retired, working class, bikers, and vacationers sat at the bar and all shared a drink and had a great time! Thanks for a great night out Dave! Definitely going back before we leave.

We recently purchased a place a few miles from Thirstys and today finally got in to meet the owner Dave and have a drink. Just like all the other reviews said, what a nice guy. A fun spot for locals, pool leagues and friends.No prepared food but lots of snacks to choose from.

Not much to look at on the outside, but looks can be deceiving. Stopped in over the weekend. Was told its the Cheers of the area and they ain’t wrong. Met a bunch of wonderful people and the bar owner is a pretty good dude too. Shuffle board and two pool tables.

An excellent salt of the earth bar. This place is what pubs are to England. The beer selection is good. Prices are also good. Atmosphere is great. Worth a stop for sure.
