If you are traveling through Montana on I 90 take the short detour to this place. The service is amazing, Manda, our server was spot on the entire time. The service and the atmosphere is enough to stop, but then the food puts it over the top. The food was fresh well prepared and original. The Fried Chicken Steak Sammie, a grilled cheese with Chicken Fried Steak as the center protein was amazing. The only downside to it was the gravy makes it messy to eat and hard to take the leftovers to go.

Yes, we are all aware that there is a shortage of restaurant workers in some more rural communities, however, most folks go to restaurants to spend our hard earned money and expect a level of appreciation or at the very least hospitality. It’s never a good sign when you walk into an establishment that they post rules and warnings all over the place about how short staffed they are that You can apply to work there and no modifications on the menu and constant signage that comes across as passive aggressive and angry that they have to serve you and take your money. From the minute we entered until we left the service was entitled and rude. The food was good which was the only reason for the 2 stars. I’ve worked in hospitality my entire life and I’ve never been a fan of the restaurant playing the victim when it comes to staffing issues. Do you want customers or not? Even the signs in the bathroom were meant to make everyone feel bad about existing. And the sign in the bathroom “look a lock.” Was so dumb. Their lock on the actual door didn’t work great, they probably have had some complaints and instead of fixing it they added a passive aggressive sign. Lame.

The food was so delicious and best part was it was served like less 15 minutes . It was quick! And we were so happy as we skip lunch for church and so we came in about 3 o’clock and we were so hungry. The waitress was so pleasant and very friendly . We will make up for the tip next time . As we didn’t realized until we were done with food that they won’t take American Express card . So it’s important to note that in case that is the only card you have in your hand . We got lucky we had enough cash to pay for the food .

The food was outstanding! Fresh ingredients, large portions and delicious. I had the Pear-A-Dise sandwich. Grilled pears, ham, smoked Gouda and a raspberry sauce on the best grilled sourdough bread. So flavorful. Family members loved their burgers and homemade chips. The green Chile chicken soup hit the spot. Service was outstanding. Yes, like many they could use more staff, ( seems many don’t want to work for a living these days) but the team really was hustling with a smile. If we pass by this area again on a road trip from Arizona, we will be back. Thank you for a truly enjoyable experience. Wishing you continued success with your restaurant.

The previous reviews about service and wait staff are pretty much spot on. There is an atmosphere of negativity but the food was delicious. The attitude of the staff is one of not caring about what the customer wants, which is fine if you know that going in. They could care less if you decide to eat there or not. We’ve been to another restaurant like this but if the food is good that can be overlooked. Once you get your food, you will not be waited on again. The bill is dropped on the table and that’s the end. The food is worth it.

We ate here a year ago (to-go) and we were so excited to eat here again on our drive from CA to MI, we scheduled our day around it.

Friendly attentive service, great food, reasonable prices. It’s a great place in such a small town. It was very appreciated after a long travel day on our way home. We would definitely come back if we pass through again !

The menu looked promising, and the place was nice. But when we walked in there were maybe 6 open tables, they were definitely busy, so we were prepared to wait. What we were not prepared for was seeing customers who came in after us get drink orders before us, while we were not even looked at, because the other customers were locals and they were familiar with them. When we got up to go the waitress came over to ask for our drink order, and threw attitude at my husband when he said “no thank you, we’re actually going to go”. Must be nice to be a local here, but a traveler should go elsewhere.
