We were on vacation visiting Cedar Point for 3 days. We needed a good place to eat because we were done with McDonald’s and other mediocre fast food joints.
We saw this place by our hotel, and decided to go in. It’s gimmicky. But, it’s gimmicky in the most excellent way! I’m not going to try to describe the inside because you can easily Google images of this place.
I’m going to tell all of you that the food is probably some of the best food I’ve had at an establishment like this. Their Ruben sandwich is amazing. I’ve never had one so good in my entire life. Their ribs are freaking great! Trust me, we tried each other’s food, and we found everything to be delicious as if you’re in New Orleans. I’m serious, places like this don’t normally have great food, but this place has freaking awesome food!
There is beer here. Their beer is really good. Their service is really good. The waiters and waitresses are really good. The bartenders are really good. Everybody is so freaking friendly and fun. We enjoyed going here three times while we were in Sandusky.
I highly recommend this place for any vacationer in the area, or just anybody living in this area. We are so happy we ate here, and we would come again in a heartbeat.
Free beer and wine and a chocolate horse shaped sucker in the room. So cool !
We brought our grandson here and drove almost 4 hrs to come here for the night, bowl and play games and then are fishing tomorrow morning – should have been perfect——- except the bowling and all the games closed early because no one was there after their league finished. And they wouldn’t make any exceptions. I really am struggling with so many emotions of how disappointed I am. Had we known they would do this , we could have eaten in that area instead of the restaurant to let them know we were going to be using the bowling and game rooms… I really don’t know what else to say- I’m heartbroken that the night we had planned and been so excited for didn’t happen. I honestly want to just cry. You get these chances once in a while with your kids and grandkids and they closed early?????
I can’t even process – the pictures were before the disappointing ending
What truly stood out was the staff’s integrity and kindness. I accidentally left my credit card there, and not only did they go out of their way to mail it back to me, they included a cute little Thirsty Pony drink coozie in the envelope. That was such an unexpected and thoughtful touch.
Customer service like that really matters. The atmosphere and the way they handled my mistake absolutely left a positive impression. Thank you to the team for going above and beyond — that kindness did not go unnoticed!
The food was excellent! I got a hungry bam burger – 10/10
My husband got a steak and said it was comparable of not better than TX roadhouse.
My boys each got kids meals and at first I thought the $12 price was steep but there was a ton of food as well as a treat and a little toy thing to take home which is really sweet.
There was also a special on beer so that was cool!
I dont remember our servers name (I think Amanda?) She was very nice! Not too overbearing but attentive.
We definitely recommend and will be back!
We were surprised to see a place that was offering the “world famous “Fricker’s chicken wings. Were from Dayton, Ohio so we have Fricker everywhere. We know better than they used to be great wings. They’re more basic bar wings at best, but we decided to go here because it felt familiar compared to the other sports bars in the area.
First off the good. We like the non-Fricker’s items, especially the appetizers, like the Nashville, hot cheese, curds, and the giant pretzel. We also liked the kids meals because they came and divided plates with applesauce and goldfish.
What we didn’t like. Where to start honestly every review that you read about service times and the weight staff is 100% correct after being told to sit wherever we’d like it took almost 20 minutes for us to be greeted in another 15 to 20 minutes just to get waters. As time went on, I started to notice how dirty the restaurant was and also it would smell like weed here and there. I don’t know if it was the kitchen staff or an open window somewhere, but it seemed to blow in here and there and really ruined the atmosphere.
Don’t be wrong. This place definitely has potential and has some good ideas built into the concept, but it needs a major overhaul. If it’s gonna be family friendly I’m assuming they’re only surviving off of the sports betting that’s happening and the hotel that’s next-door.
