I thought maybe I would be let in if the restaurant was empty, but to my surprise, the place was packed! Nonetheless, I was seated within 5 min and proceeded with the premium selection.
I wasn’t able to try all the meat but here’s my ranking of the meat that I did try:
1. Black Angus Hand Cut Short Rib (original) – definitely my favorite. The accordion cut makes cooking fast and the meat was super tender and juicy
2. Filet Mignon
3. Black Angus Ribeye
4. Wagyu Delmonico Steak – their thinnest cut
5. Black Angus Marinated Sirloin – I enjoyed the marinade but the meat wasn’t as tender as I hoped.
6. USDA Prime Boneless Rib Finger – meat was chewy and tough to eat imo
7. Black Angus Woodae Galbi – this is smoked and the smell was amazing, but because it’s a thick cut, it’d be best cooked over low heat. I didn’t lower the temperature, so the meat turned out tough
I didnt spend much time on the side dishes except the broccoli which was pretty nice.
During my visit, I had about 6 servers checking in on me regularly making sure everything was good, changing grills and getting the next orders in. They were all courteous and polite!
For my next visit, I’ll definitely get multiple portions of the hand cut short rib (maybe try the Marinated one) and the other items on the menu!
2. The spot has fun casual vibes with a spacious interior!
3. The staff was friendly and attentive! They were able to make some good recommendations!
Note: There is ice cream given at the end!

My family and friend’s family went to Thirsty Cow for dinner recently, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! There are so many Korean BBQ places in LA, but this one definitely stands out.
We ordered the Black Angus Woodae Galbi and the pork jowl with basil and lots of high-quality meats, and they were all simply superb. The basil was even grown on their own garden. The marbling was fantastic, and it melted in our mouths – truly amazing! What really made the experience was the skillful server, Alex. Even though it was busy, they were constantly attentive and incredibly kind, ensuring we enjoyed our meat at its perfect doneness.
The side dishes were also excellent, each one tasting like it was made with great care. The steamed egg, in particular, was a perfect complement to the meat. And the Soybean Paste Stew (Doenjang Jjigae) with our meal was so flavorful and hearty, I practically devoured a whole bowl of rice with it.
The restaurant’s atmosphere was lively yet clean, making it suitable for both family gatherings and dinners with friends. The interior was even better than the best steak houses in Las Vegas hotels. Even though it was a busy night, the tables were spaced out nicely, allowing us to enjoy our meal comfortably.
They also have a beautiful bar and amazing cocktails. They didn’t even use any low quality liquors for the cocktails.
Overall, it was an incredibly satisfying experience, and I can’t recommend it enough. If you’re looking for delicious Korean BBQ and excellent service, Thirsty Cow is an absolute must-visit!
Highly Recommend: Woodae Galbi, smoked pork belly, Kimchi Dosirak.
Will I Return?: Absolutely, without a doubt !!! I can’t wait to come back with my other friends and family.
So let me say the food was good, but I couldn’t tell you the difference between one cut and the other with the exception of the bulgogi.
I found many other Korean BBQs to be equal if not better for a lower price.
The place looked really nice and you could never tell it used to be a soup plantation. ( Or the other soup place, can’t remember). But it looked great
But all things being equal, I don’t think I will be going back
