The owner and team are wonderful people! The food is filled with flavors and fresh. The goat curry was phenomenal and the fried chicken was so crispy. The perfect amount of spicy! So happy to have something different in the area. Give them a try!

My partner and I were passing through town on a little sightseeing adventures and he found this online. Soooooo worth the stop!! Everything we had was RIDICULOUSLY DELICIOUS! The jerk patty, chicken jerk salad and coco bread were all chefs kiss. The homemade habiscus drink was INCREDIBLE. On top of that, the owner and staff were all very kind and lovely. This is absolutely the type of business you want to support, plus your tastebuds will thank you! Without a doubt we’ll be back when we pass through again.

Thingz From Yaad is one of my favorite restaurants- I could eat it for every meal. Literally everything I have tried is delicious. My favorite is the fried chicken, the jerk chicken is amazing and the salad is also always a winner (jerk aioli dressing is so good). The Jamaican patties are so flaky and delicious. You get a good amount of food for the price, especially the meals that come with rice and peas. The staff are the most welcoming, lovely, friendly people. Takeout is our go-to because it’s so convenient, but they just opened a really nice dine-in space!

I’ve been to Thingz twice now, and the food is very very good. I’ve gotten the Curry Goat, Oxtail (only on Tuesdays) and Curry Chicken and they’ve all been excellent.
The meat is tender and flavorful. The key is to get it spicy as it really does accentuate the flavor. Keep in mind, this is not Chipotle, you’re not paying $11 for a bowl of affordable-processed food, you’re paying about twice as much for a decent portion of an authentic, good quality meal.
Owner Shaneall is super friendly and accommodating, and my boy Joel knows what he’s doing in the kitchen and always takes a moment to come out and say hello.
I’ll be a regular here for sure as it’s a super central location and already looking forward to bringing more of my people through to show them what the Yaad’s all about!

On our first visit we enjoyed a delicious jerk chicken sandwich here plus “cheesy beef” hand pies in the spacious and cheery dining room. The menu has a lot more we hope to be exploring soon.

This is authentic Jamaican food!! The service is fantastic and timely. They now have their dining room open, which has a wonderful island feel. I love the tropical decor! Tastefully done with the colorful Jamaican style!♥️ I get the coconut curried chickpeas and rice and jerk chicken! Or the real deal, delicious ox-tail, It is delicious! It’s perfect for lunch or an early dinner. I highly recommend giving them a try. ❤️

No hate to any other Jamaican restaurant in Vermont, they’re delicious as well, but they don’t even COME CLOSE to the level this place is at, the food is cooked perfectly texture and juiciness is perfection, the seasoning is all throughout the meat, the spiciness level is right there with the flavor and spiciness at the same time, these people are about to blow up and need a larger space in the coming years because this is phenomenal cooking, if you’ve tried other Jamaican places and just weren’t really about it, give this place a try I’m sure it’ll change your mind, I got the Jamaican jerk chicken with rice and a side of greens, a spicy beef patty with coco bread, all incredible and the best I’ve had… even the dressing on the greens was delicious and paired perfectly with the chicken, I will be a repeat customer for sureeeeee. If you are familiar with this location they have changed things up and have a nice dining room to the right, I will have to make sure to bring more people here to spread the word

We got take out last weekend from here and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. I was greeted by a friendly FOH staff member for placing and grabbing our order. The 10 minute ride home was difficult because the smell of the food was so damn good. Once my partner and I were able to start digging in we could only muster “wow” and lots of “mmm, WOW.” We got the oxtail, jerk chicken, some patties and fried plantains. I could eat that oxtail every day. Everything was seasoned to perfection– no clue rice and peas could taste that good. Food to fill your soul. We’ll be coming back.
