My niece wanted to take me out to celebrate my birthday; I chose this place. We ordered pork roll $13.50 and shrimp roll $14.50. Both were yummy delicious as always!

Both dishes (Special #1 and #8) we ordered were fulfilling, fresh and delicious! We’ll stop by again if we are in the area.

-Shrimp roll $14- very tasty shrimp flavor. I couldn’t get enough of it. Steamed pork loaf and fried pork loaf accompanied the plate were a perfect combination along with blanched bean sprouts and chopped cucumber.
-Special Combo #1- my significant other enjoyed his dish, especially the fried dough that came with it.
-Three color bean dessert $5.66- refreshing. Loved the coconut milk. Most places nowadays use half and half which I don’t care for.
I always enjoy the food here. It’s yummy delicious whether I dine here or order a party tray to take home.
Looking forward to returning for more delicious tasty shrimp roll!

I would not have come in here if my friend hadn’t recommended (not located in a popular plaza, opened Dec 2022). We met up for lunch after her hair appointment next door. Glad I agreed to meet her here because I had a great experience: reasonable price, yummy food, pleasant staff and clean all round.
Food:
-With pork $12
-With Shrimp $13.50
-Special #1 $14.50 take to go
Looking forward to sharing this hidden gem with my family.
Previous review- So many people recommend this place. We were thinking to come here last Saturday for lunch hut line was so long. We had to wait for 45 minute to get the food, so we left and chose a weekday to have lunch here. I think the foods here are nice and unique but it is a little bit overrated. I don’t think it’s worthy to wait 45 minute for their foods. But if you are curious, it’s still nice to try. I love their fried Mung bean Fritters the most. The egg & shrimp rolls’ taste are kinda bland.
The space is counter service, clean and casual. The service was quick, brought us water to our table despite being counter service which was really nice.
The Banh Mi Chao #1 was something I never had. The meatballs and beef were so flavorful and the sauce mixed with eggs is delicious.
The Special #2 was very good, the banh cuon with egg and pork and the banh cuon with shrimp were soft, warm, filling and all at an affordable price. Overall, amazing food and place that you can’t easily find in San Diego.
If you are new to this kind of food, order a sample plate to try before getting one for everyone.
The food was pretty good. The combos are very big so might be good for sharing – we each got one and thought we ordered too much food. Loved the egg coffee!
