We are a little independent business that merges creative design ideas with creative dining. Due to occasional private hire, the opening hours may vary, so it is best to check our website (www.thewitchez.co.uk) to see the current opening times or give us a call, drop us an email . Our fully licensed restaurant will take you on a journey of different flavours from different countries. Well behaved dogs are always welcome. In order to allow our adult guests an evening of relaxation we have chosen for Thewitchez Restaurant to be an adult-only venue. To reserve a table go to our website. We visited Thewitchez for lunch on a Saturday and were pleasantly surprised that, despite it being the weekend, the atmosphere remained relatively quiet and relaxed. The dim lighting and unique, thematic decor created a great ambiance that was absolutely ideal for an intimate conversation. The staff were incredibly friendly and proactive; they warned us early on about a kitchen staff shortage, but it didn’t end up being an issue for us at all since we were happy to take our time and enjoy the surroundings. As for the food, there is a fantastic selection of traditional Central European dishes that tasted authentic and delicious. The portions are very generous, so much so that after our starters and mains, we had no room left for dessert! We had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

This was so nice! The food was way better than I expected (not that I thought it would be bad, but in gimmicky restaurants it’s always a bit hit or miss), the girls working were all lovely – and it was a fun spooky vibes.
The apple crumble cocktail was sooo good, and I loved the gnocchi. We were served by Maisie and Emily, and they were fun, enthusiastic, and were great servers.
I would go back for sure, the only thing that was a bit off putting was the moaning ghost noises in the bathroom, but what else would you expect in a coven’s den !!

Had such a fun anniversary dinner at Thewitchez Restaurant The food was honestly AMAZING and made the night feel really special.

Emily and Abby were incredible waitresses, Abby explained the menu perfect so we understood exactly what the dishes were and an idea of how they tasted as well as she gave us lots of recommendations which was so wonderful. Emily really enriched us in the vibe as well as told us about her recommendations and was so friendly, she took a really nice picture for us too 🙂 they were both absolutely phenomenal and even came back to say goodbye which was SO sweet, we will all definitely be back, Maisie also showed us in and saw us off and was so kind and we had such a lovely conversation. Absolutely incredible, the waitresses here are amazing!! The food was also incredible, i didn’t know bread could taste that good haha

I had the pleasure of dining at Thewitchez Restaurant yesterday and was absolutely captivated by this gem of a Polish establishment. From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the atmosphere. The decor is truly amazing and unique, making the dining experience feel immersive and cosy. Crucially, the customer service was wonderful and very attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming, adding significant value to the entire evening. The menu offers a fantastic tour of authentic Polish cuisine, and everything I tried was exceptional.
I sampled the traditional Polish beetroot soup (Barszcz) and the onion soup. Both were incredibly filling, unique, and bursting with authentic flavours. They set a high bar for the rest of the meal, offering a comforting and complex start.
The Steak Tartare with Egg (Tatar) was a highlight. They were classically prepared, but what truly elevated the dish was the lovely accompanying salad. This garnish was not just decorative, but it beautifully complemented the rich flavour of the tartare, making the whole experience feel balanced and sophisticated.
For the main course, I enjoyed a platter featuring Hunter’s Stew (Bigos) and authentic Polish Sausage (Kiełbasa). The Bigos was hearty and deeply satisfying, while the Kiełbasa was perfectly cooked. Paired with crispy potato chips and a fresh salad, it was a truly complete and delicious meal. I wish the bread was any sourdough (or Polish bread).
While I noted the absence of Polish beers on the menu, I took a delightful turn and ordered a standard beer with raspberry syrup (sok malinowy). This traditional Polish addition made the beer taste absolutely amazing, a refreshing, sweet, and tangy twist that I highly recommend trying!

This place is such an amazing gem of Brighton. We have been twice, and both experiences were so lovely. This second time was for New Year’s Eve. We ordered the borscht, a rosti as well as the fondue for the evening (gotta be fancy of NYE). Every bit of food tastes fresh and delicious. They make everything from scratch. The staff is super duper attentive. Every witch is kind. The atmosphere and ambiance is calm with positive energy. The decor is also super well done. 10/10 you should eat here if you are in Brighton.

Absolutely love the food and love the staff. Always recommend this place to friends. But the music was far too loud tonight. I politely asked the waitress to turn it down on 2 seperate occasions. It remained the same volume and my table (a party of 3) struggled to hear one another even though the restaurant was quiet. We couldn’t have a conversation with eachother because of the loud vocals or sounds of instruments, meaning we struggled to hear one another and had to raise our voice over the entire dinner. We dine out to eat and have a conversation, not to eat and dance.

Absolutely love The Witchez. We hadn’t been for a while, but we were very pleased to see that the food and the service were as good as ever. We were a table of four, and all had different starters and mains. Everyone was pleased with their choices, the dishes were delicious and the portions were very generous. The waiting staff were new to us, but were incredibly attentive and professional, and could not be faulted. I highly recommend this gem of a restaurant, and cannot wait to visit again soon.
