My wife likes Theo’s so we keep coming back, but I’ve never really had a great meal here. I’m hoping though, especiallyif we keep coming back. Today I had the Buffalo Chicken salad and crab soup. The soup wasn’t all that hot and didn’t seem to be stirred because the soup on top was thicker than the soup lower in the cup. The taste as good. My salad was ok. There wasn’t much chicken. My wife ordered the garlic bread which came out warm, not toasted, and the cheese wasn’t even melted. (See picture) Unfortunately my wife liked her salad until she found a fly in it. (See picture) Also, I wanted to mention we stopped in today looking at the menu online, but apparently the online menu is different than the one they provide in the restaurant. There wasn’t a turkey club, turkey pita sandwich, or tuna melt. I will mention that our service was good. No issues there. Until next time…

Visited this place for the first time late afternoon on a Saturday. Maybe only 4 or 5 tables seated. Hostess wasn’t friendly at all. Took a while for the waitress to come greet us. She wanted to start us off with drinks but we had ample time to decide our whole order.

Not a bad restaurant if you like your dishes basic, but overpriced. Picture the sort of place that qualified as a “fancy restaurant” to the suburbs of the 90s and hasn’t changed anything about the menu but the prices since, and you’ve got the vibes and cuisine assessed pretty well. Although they’ve got huge tvs playing sports in the dining rooms as well as by the bar, which undercuts the attempt at a fine-dining atmosphere considerably, so I’m not sure what vibes they’re actually going for. (The dishes definitely aren’t priced like you’d expect at a sports bar though!) It feels like the sort of place that you could take your conservative grandparents and be confident that they’ll feel comfortable, but I can’t think of any other reason to go there deliberately.

I haven’t been to this place since 1998. It used to be good, I remembered. Well I should have just kept the memory because it was not. If you’re a fine dining establishment why does my water have a t-shirt and shorts on? Food was less than spectacular. Prices are more than what one would expect for a casual dining experience. Ate at Tavern on the Hill last week and it was worth every penny and entrees were priced similar. Oh well …

We had a good meal. The wife really enjoyed it as she loved her crab cakes and peanut butter cheesecake dessert. The French onion soup had good flavor. I had the prime rib which was a large serving. It was ok,I wish had a bit more seasoning. They offer blackened but I don’t want prime rib cooked that way. The service is really good. Wish they had more local beer offerings but they do have a few Troegs. Lots of cocktails. Overall a good place and the wife already wants to go back so we’ll definitely return.

So, let me start on the ambiance: like seven tables were occupied, so not busy at all. The drinks: watered down and simply not good. I’ve had better mixed drinks and service at a frat party. The food: bland, under seasoned, and the knife skills of the cooks were rudimentary at best. How do you not know how to slice a tomato evenly? The service: the server, who visited our table every 20-30 minutes at best, was so incredibly rude it was offensive. The server literally handed the food our son (who was referred to as a “miss” so that was awesome) and said, “so, you got this?” as he was trying to reach across the table to grab a hot dish. And, when asked about a drink that we ordered 20 minutes earlier, the server said, “oh yeah, it’s being prepared, but I just want to check if the liquor you ordered was right. It was [specific brand], right?” So basically, they told us that they hadn’t actually ordered the drink from the bar. We’ve worked in the service industry before as a server and bartender, and know that this is not the way to handle diners. Whatever personal nonsense is going on in your life, don’t bring it to customers, even if you may think they’re being rude, which we certainly weren’t. If I could rate 0 stars, I would. This was a highly disappointing experience, to say the least.

Not a bad meal. Portions are generous. Food was ok, nothing too spectacular but the service was decent. Mary was on top of the order and drinks and kept everything moving. I’ll try it again when back in the area

Love checking out new places… and this one was worth the stop! The wind break patio with heaters had nice wooded views, but being semi enclosed, the man smoking there was too much for me to take, so we dined inside. High back, padded booths gave this restaurant a night lounge feel. The waitress was super knowledgeable with all the special dishes not listed on the menu, which was amazing since there was quite a few!

Broad menu, great wine list and mixed drinks. Atmosphere is nice, more upscale. Prices are a little higher but on par. Desserts by PA Bakery, nice ! Pro tip: “Special Potato” is the potato special of the day. Enjoy.
