The service was great; attentive, but not smothering. Customers are given a complimentary popover with strawberry butter and a small teacup of chicken broth. The atmosphere is sophisticated. The food was good and served timely.

We had a very pleasant Saturday lunch at The Zodiac. The service was friendly but felt slow at times. The food overall was very good. The chicken tortilla soup and chicken picatta were particularly tasty. The atmosphere felt bright and colorful while exuding a sense of calm and tranquility. It was great to walk through Neiman’s and think about the halcyon days of times past when this was the spot to shop for luxury goods in Dallas. I think you should make your resy and experience this Dallas institution before Saks closes it down next year. The NorthPark NM location is about to get a substantial makeover so we’ll have a shiny new object to capture our attention while the chapter on The Zodiac closes and fades into the darkness of the cosmos.

This is a Dallas must. Beautiful, historical Neimans who treated the farm ladies just like high society ladies. The 6th floor Zodiac is a dream place for lunch with friends. Food is fantastic. Service is 5 Star. Historical photos on the elevator wall. Valet parking easy access.

We have gone here for 10 years for holiday lunch and this year was such a disappointment. Our waitress Heather was amazing. We have always been seated with out having our full party. The hostess (who i found out is a manager) is rude and condescending. Refused to seat us even though there were plenty of table. We went at 2pm not a rush.Once seated and ordered drinks it took 30 minutes to get a cocktail. This was not Neiman Marcus service and what they have always been known for. Get a new hostess who can smile.

This restaurant is on the 6th floor of the Neiman Marcus in downtown Dallas. When we first walked up there was no one at the hostess stand. We waited and waited about 10-15 minutes and no one came. It was mid afternoon so most likely right after the lunch rush. Eventually a waiter went to get someone. (Not that anyone communicated with us) The hostess came out and finally seated us. The service was super slow. The waitress finally came out and greeted us. She was very friendly and professional. She took our order and then we waited and waited some more. We waited about 30 minutes when the waitress came out and apologized for the wait saying there was only one cook on staff because the others were on lunch break. I ordered the strawberry salad with salmon. It was delicious. I enjoyed every flavorful bite. I don’t think I will be returning but truthfully if you have time for a super long leisure lunch I would suggest visiting the Zodiac. The food was amazing and will not disappoint. If you are wanting a quicker lunch or more personal service definitely choose somewhere else.

Had the holiday buffet. Was expecting greatness. There was a huge variety of food. But disappointed in most of the things on the salad bar side. The prime rib carving station was nice to have but a bit tough. The sides could use some more flavor. The dessert was very disappointing. It get 3 stars instead of 2 because of ambiance and waitress.

This restaurant is inside Neiman Marcus downtown and is open Mon-Sat for lunch. If you work in the area or are just shopping or hanging in Dallas, I recommend popping in for a yummy lunch or a cocktail. Everything we had was good. We ordered the tuna tostada, blackened red snapper, and pot roast.
