Steaming hot sandwiches on fresh-baked bread are our specialty, but the garden fresh salads, from-scratch soups, and homemade desserts are nice, too.

My favorite sandwiches in Colorado, everything is always fresh and delicious! The papaya juice is also amazing!

Came in late on a night dinner at home didn’t go right. The Yellow Deli was here for me, to finally find that perfect bowl of late night soup I’ve been after! Their baked goods and hot apple cider is also not to be missed. Everything tasted like wholesome comfort food like I’d just gone to my grandparents house. The people and atmosphere are also so welcoming it feels like I was right at home. Even though it was my first visit it definitely won’t be my last.

My coworker and I come here ALL the time after we get off work late. Coming here is like a warm and welcoming hug after a long day of working service!! Everyone here is so lovely. If the give you a recommendation, definitely go with it. Papaya juice in a trusted mug, their jalapeño cheddar bread, banana milk, and a must get – cream cheese pie with fruit on it!

I’m currently in Boulder on a vacation that somehow turned into a work trip — which is like calling a kick to the shin “surprise yoga.” Anyway, I wandered into this place because the internet was screaming “BEST FOOD EVER” like it just discovered fire.
Enter: me. Gluten-free. Hopeful. Vulnerable.
I do what any responsible adult with trust issues does: I very clearly ask the sandwich guy, “Hey, can you toast the bread? Otherwise it gets soggy.” He nods. He understands. We have a moment. I think, Wow, connection.
Cut to my hotel room.
I open the sandwich.
Reader… it was not toasted.
This thing had the structural integrity of a wet napkin that lost custody of its kids. The bread was soggy. The sandwich tasted like disappointment wrapped in regret, lightly seasoned with betrayal. I have eaten road-trip gas station food at 2 a.m. with more crunch.
Now look — I get it. Mistakes happen. But when I explicitly ask for one thing and that one thing is ignored, my inner child crawls out, reloads his sarcasm pistols, and whispers: “Never again.”
So yeah. Not going back. Plenty of other restaurants in Boulder, and I’m optimistic one of them will understand the revolutionary concept of listening. Or at least own a toaster.
Would I recommend this place?
Only if you enjoy your sandwiches moist in a way that feels legally questionable.
Maximum effort.
Minimum toast.

This place is amazing. It looks like it was built and designed by hobbits inside. The hosts are incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is hearty and good. Even though a couple of dishes came out differently than expected, they were easily correctable things I will adjust with future orders. Tried the potato cheese chowder, custom sandwich, fruit platter. I’ve been twice now, but totally obsessed with this place. It’s so cute.

There was a very nice woman that made me an amazing breakfast sandwich this past Thursday. She was very pleasant and that was one of the best breakfast sandwiches. I’ve had in a long time definitely going back.

This place is great. The people there are super nice and the place has a very hobbithole-ish feel like others have mentioned. The bread is so fresh and good. The pesto sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. I highly recommend it. I should’ve gotten some of their fresh desserts

We tried their special fish soup and the carrot cake—both were amazing! Seriously comforting and full of flavor. The staff were so kind, and the atmosphere is just what you need to relax and unwind. One of those hidden gems that makes you want to stay a little longer.

Quaint deli on Pearl Street that would have walked passed with out notice. Thankfully a map and reviews brought us to this quaint little tuck away restaurant. Part of two for lunch. All the staff are uber friendly and make you feel at home. Wasn’t rue about getting soup of the day and they offered a sample (see pic) – turns out the cheesy potato soup is delicious! Even better tasting is the Deli Rose sandwich. Most flavor sandwich I have had in decades. Also had Vonn salad – no complaints! We are out of towners and wish we had a location closer to us!
