Loved the American-style vibe and generous serves. Rump 350g was juicy, Lamb Shank was super tender, and the Pork Ribs were full of flavour. We also tried the Crispy Skin Salmon, which was cooked perfectly. Drinks were great too, the was so refreshing. Hawaiian pizza and Caramel Sticky Date to finish, so good. The service was excellent; they kept checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Also a great spot to watch the game!

This food is messy and delicious. I felt like a kid discovering a new taste and then making a mess as I lost control of my hands and mouth.
This place is good. The buns are soft and sweet and they absorb a good but of the mess.
I don’t think you can go wrong ordering from here. I got this was a latenight meal. Polish, burger, and mozzarella sticks. All were gone fast after they were delivered.

Alright fam, just pulled up to Yankees Restaurant & Bar on King Street and lemme tell ya, this spot is dangerously good.
If you’re chasing proper American comfort food right in the heart of the CBD, Yankees is a whole vibe. I smashed one of their juicy burgers, the kind that drips down your hands and you don’t even care.
What I rate hard is they’ve got something for everyone. Halal options, vegan feeds, gluten-free legends are all sorted. Whether you’re rolling in for a quick lunch special, post-work knock-offs, or a messy catch-up with mates, Yankees delivers big time. Loud flavours, big portions, no fluff, just straight-up comfort food done right.

Not too bad. It isn’t a place in would regularly go. The service was ok, there was a slight language barrier which made it hard to order exactly what we wanted.
The hotdog i had was hard to eat and was very messy. The flavour was very good but i had sticky hands afterwards and had to find somewhere to wash up later. We were the only people in the place it didnt seem popular.

A lot of options to choose from here at Yankees! I really enjoyed the Piña Colada — so refreshing and perfectly mixed. The ribs and steak were huge portions; I just wish they were a bit less dry and had more sauce, though the mashed potato was really good. The lamb was interesting too, just had a bit of that lamb aftertaste which I personally prefer less. The burgers were nice, with a unique twist of pineapple and beetroot. But my absolute favorite — the pizza! Flavorful, savory, cheesy, and perfectly crunchy.

My wife and I came in here for brunch on NYD and were pleasantly surprised.
The decor and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. Modern and colourful yet not in your face.
Staff were very accommodating and friendly. They didn’t take away our empty drinks or menu’s however.
The kitchen service was a little slow but thats to be expected on New Years.
The food was good. I ordered the Crispy Skin Salmon and it was quite nice. Very crispy skin, nice side salad, beautiful hollandaise however the mash was cold but still very tasty.
My wife ordered the Texas Dog and it looked fantastic. She said it was real nice however the bread was a bit stale but everything else was nice. The side chips were to die for honestly.
The deserts were fantastic. I got the waffle and my wife got the sticky date.
When asked if my wife liked hers it received the “mmmmmmmm” of approval haha.
The waffle was a little small and the ice cream to waffle ratio was off. I ended up with more ice cream than I needed. But honestly thats being pedantic. Amazing.
Overall 3.5-4/5. If service was a bit quicker and a little more attentive it would bump it up. However I would gladly come here again. Priced fairly considering. Good drinks and good food

Tried the chicken schnitzel; it was decent in taste. The fries were a bit too oily, so I had to leave them out, but the chicken was well cooked. The fries definitely need better cooking.
The staff are awesome and pleasant, and they’re happy to help with orders.

We visited for dinner on a Monday night with two adults and two children, because of the restaurant’s excellent reviews. We were greeted promptly but told to order via a QR code rather than in person, which was fine.
About 15 minutes after placing our order, we still hadn’t received any drinks, so we asked for water. The manager returned with water and asked to confirm that we wanted ice with the wine (as clearly stated in the order), which we did. It then took another 5 minutes for our drinks to arrive. At this point, we were also asked which dipping sauces we wanted—even though we had already selected these in the QR order.
Our platter arrived around 35 minutes after ordering, but the food was cold and over cooked. We waited to eat because one of our children was still waiting on her burger and loaded fries (and ours couldn’t get colder!). After another 20 minutes with no sign of that food, we asked about the missing items and requested to cancel them. We were told that our entire order had already been delivered, which was clearly not true—the burger and fries hadn’t even been cooked and were present on our receipt.
I then attempted to leave with my daughter to get her food elsewhere while my husband and son stayed behind to resolve the issue. A server abruptly told me I was not allowed to leave and had to wait, despite the fact that we had already paid and were simply seeking a refund for food not received.
To make matters worse, they said it was “too difficult” to refund the card and instead required us to provide a BSB and account number. So now I have to wait for a bank transfer for my goods not received. There was also no interest in addressing the cold, overcooked food we had already been served.
We were not the only table experiencing problems that night. Overall, the service was disorganised, dismissive, and extremely disappointing given the restaurant’s reputation.

Yankees Burger Bar on King Street absolutely hits the spot! The burgers are juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection every single time. The sides are just as impressive, crispy fries, generous portions, and everything served hot and fresh. The staff are friendly, quick, and make you feel genuinely welcomed.

Ordered a chicken schnitzel with chips, gravy and salad. After an hour wait the cold chicken arrived with a few lettuce leaves. Had to follow up for cutlery, gravy and chips. My friends ordered a hotdog, and two burgers. None turned up. After an hour an a hlaf reaquested a refund. Really understaffed and the food was cold. Not a great night for them.
