This was our second time to The Woods and it was again amazing!! We sat outside in the lovely garden, such a beautiful atmosphere. Food by chef Galen was delicious and Bridget was warm and welcoming as always. We can’t wait to go back! Don’t miss this amazing restaurant and romantic spot on the island!

We just had the most wonderful dinner experience at Woods. Bridget and Galen and their team are simply amazing. Our waitress Anna was so professional and kind. I loved my Caesar salad and lamb dish. I will definitely be back soon. I very highly recommend Woods.

We had an unforgettable meal in the garden at The Woods. The setting was sophisticated but comfortable. Service was excellent, and every bite of food was delicious and perfectly prepared. A highlight of our experience was the performance by the charming guitar player. Truly a unique and outstanding evening. We’ll be back every time we visit Martha’s Vineyard.

Best dinner I had on the island! The service was warm and attentive and the food was absolutely delicious. If weather permits, you must sit outside in their garden setting. It is just magical. Don’t miss this wonderful experience!

Recently dined at The Woods at Lamberts Cove. Initially were greeted by friendly staff, hostess, and wine person were very helpful. Our waitress seemed to be attentive until about 3/4 into the dinner and we never seen or heard from her again.Never ask if we wanted coffee with our dessert or came back to the table. We were one of the last to finish, when we went looking for her,we found her in the the kitchen talking with staff and eating. We felt very slighted by her and made our experience very uncomfortable.Food way overated.Won’t be going back there.

I’ve been to Woods a few times now and love the wonderful and unique dishes I have not seen anywhere else. I took chances on things I wasn’t even sure I would like but blown away with how great they were. This chef has his own style and creates a truly special and unforgettable dining experience. I enjoy the nice atmosphere and the dishes are a great conversation starter with other diners nearby. I always leave feeling satisfied that I ate a fresh, healthy, interesting dinner instead of the usual full, disgusting and guilt I feel when I leave most restaurants. I’ll be back this summer for sure.

I’ve heard great things but did not experience that on our visit yesterday. We had a 7:45 seating and were disappointed, first by the inexperienced crew being trained; when two servers are essentially taking your order how did I get the wrong beer? When I asked if it was the correct beer, as I was expecting a can, I was told they had it on tap too. Unfortunately it wasn’t a golden ale but a NEIPA, not even close. He was apologetic when again I asked for the correct beer. We only chose a beer as the wine list seemed unimpressive and overpriced. Started with oysters and tuna, both very, very good. Then a tomato salad (with three small wedges of bland tomato and mostly lettuce), that was just ok, the soft mozzarella was good. My wife had the braised short ribs which were excellent. Here’s the worst; ordered “fresh, house made pasta in a sweet corn sauce” and what I got was clearly NOT fresh, but a store bought spiral pasta with barely any sauce and super dry. Shameful at that price!! The vanilla ice cream on two small brownies (that sure seemed store bought too) covered with some super sweet caramel sauce wasn’t special either. For a $265.00 meal (still tipped well as most of our family is in the food and beverage business) we were both very disappointed. While I understand running a good food and service business on an island has it’s unique challenges, especially these days, some things are just not acceptable and management should know.
