I had a really disappointing experience at this bar. The staff couldn’t even stay consistent with their own last call times. One bartender told everyone that last call was at 1:30 AM, which seemed totally reasonable. But then another bartender decided to shut the entire bar down at 1:10 AM instead. No warning, no explanation — just abruptly telling people they were done serving.
What made it worse was the attitude from the bartender who closed things early. Instead of being polite or explaining the situation, they were rude and dismissive about it. If you’re going to run a bar, at least have your staff on the same page about closing times and treat customers with basic respect.
Between the confusing last call, getting cut off 20 minutes early, and the unfriendly staff, it left a really bad impression. There are plenty of other bars that know how to handle closing time professionally. I won’t be coming back.

Went with a group of 6, got a table right away. They were a little busy, but our server Taylor dud a great job. Cheers to the kitchen, the food was great. We will be back to enjoy the patio for sure.

We arrived at 5:30 pm on Valentine’s Day. It was a mad house, wall to wall people. The servers did the best that they could considering the situation. The food was tasty and the prices were reasonable.

I recently visited The Wooden Nickel Bar & Grill with a friend and we had a delightful experience. We kicked off our meal with the Mozzarella Moons—an appetizing take on mozzarella sticks. These cheese-filled delights were the perfect start, boasting a deliciously gooey center.
For my main course, I chose the Buffalo Chicken Wrap. It was enjoyable, though it didn’t quite dazzle my taste buds as much as I had hoped. However, my friend’s BBQ Pulled Pork was a showstopper. After sampling a piece, I can confirm it’s a dish I’ll be ordering on my next visit; the flavor was spot-on.
The ambiance added to our pleasant dining experience. The Wooden Nickel offers a soothing atmosphere, with an array of TVs for casual viewing without overwhelming noise—great for those who appreciate a laid-back dining environment. Our waitress was attentive, making our visit all the more enjoyable.
I’d wholeheartedly recommend The Wooden Nickel Bar & Grill to anyone looking for a new spot to dine. Whether you’re craving a cheesy appetizer or a hearty BBQ dish, this place has got you covered.

Had a good time at Trivia night. Servers were very busy because the place was packed but they did a good job. There was a little wait some times but that was understandable and one of the wait help apologized as we left. Will definitely go back soon.

I can’t say enough nice things about this bar. My husband and I came here for our anniversary and Michelle our server/bartender made our night feel extra special even though they were pretty busy. Thank you for such fun night out. We will be back.

Previously visited for a quick drink, tried going back for dinner on 11/14. Sat down at 6:10, a server passed us around 10 minutes later saying she’d be right with us. 15 minutes later, no one came back. Went to the bar to ask and was told they’d be with us when they could. We left. Still a few open tables and the staff was working hard—may have been understaffed, unfortunately.

We had the corned beef and the homemade macaroni salad and it was excellent. I prefer regular rye bread over the swirl pumpernickel but the sandwich was excellent and we will be back.
