Best place to go at the St John’s resort! They are right on top of things with service and are very attentive to their customers. The entire staff on both Friday Jan 23 and Saturday Jan 24 were great. After being very disappointed with Five and Doyles, they turned around what could’ve been a very disappointing experience for my new husband and I celebrating our marriage that weekend.
A huge thanks to bartender Kaitlin, servers Brooke and Nina, fantastic host Susan, Ava, and manager JW! You guys rock!

We spent Valentines Day here and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Drinks were delicious and we ordered both the cheese and meat charcuterie and the chocolate charcuterie. Both were out of this world. Such a great experience. Nina was our waitress and she was phenomenal. Great atmosphere, it was a night we’ll remember!

Went to the Wine Grotto with the intent to try it for a quick bite and a glass of wine, but ended up staying a couple of hours enjoying the fabulous guitar and vocal performance by Kelly. Her musical style was so engaging! The wine/beverage list offers a wide range of choices, something for every palate. The food menu offered creative options and portions were great for sharing. Rachel was a very attentive and personable server.

I celebrated my birthday at The Wine Grotto, and it was an absolutely perfect experience from start to finish! The atmosphere had a charming European feel—cozy, elegant, and inviting. The food was outstanding, with every dish beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The drinks were just as impressive, with a fantastic wine selection and expertly crafted cocktails.

What truly set the evening apart was the impeccable service. The staff was warm, attentive, and made sure every detail of our celebration was just right. They went above and beyond to create a memorable experience, making me feel truly special on my birthday.

If you’re looking for a place with incredible food, top-notch drinks, and a sophisticated yet welcoming ambiance, The Wine Grotto is a must-visit. I can’t wait to return!

I’m very disappointed with our experience here. We were celebrating a birthday and had made reservations here a month ahead of time. When we got to our table we were saying hello to each other and the waitress came over saying we all needed to sit down because the table that was vacant next to us would be occupied shortly. ….. btw- nobody ever was sat there the whole night.

There were six couples asking for separate checks. The waitresses complained about that and kept bringing it up that they don’t usually do this and it’s hard for them. One was even open to suggestions as to how to do it, by labeling couples with numbers. They continued to complain about this.

Then a waitress dropped off food and said “if you want to eat you need to clear the table.” It was unreal. Rude and unreal. We all stared with jaws dropped.

It continued. Multiple waitresses obviously annoyed with us being there. Then one person said to her something about it being obvious she doesn’t want us here and is treating us unfairly. She said “you got your drinks didn’t you?” It was very rude and she continued to speak down to us. I’ve never experienced the rudeness and blatant disrespect. We closed the night early from there due to the wait staff being so rude and incompetent. It’s unfortunate for them because we took our business elsewhere for that evening. We were also disappointed to see there was an automatic 22% gratuity added to each bill because the service was absolutely horrible. I hope their management recognizes that this is six families in the local area that had such a negative experience during a birthday party where we were happy to celebrate, that we will not be coming back.

Very unfortunate because the atmosphere is great but the service was so poor that we had to all leave and take our business elsewhere.

Decent fine dining experience with really good wines with recommended pairings and a delicious creme brulee. I know a couple of my go-to’s, i.e. pinot grigio or a sweet red, but the wine sommelier, Scott, was amazing. Super down to earth, engaging, and honestly entertaining. I genuinely wish more places with a sommelier would have his approachable nature and mannerisms that make you feel comfortable to learn. Eager to answer questions and general curiosities that had us trying a third and even fourth glass based on our interests. He is an absolute wizard with everything short of robes (would recommend him some to match his energy )

What a cozy place to grab some drinks and snacks. It is tucked away in the basement of the resort, but there are easy to follow signs. And once you arrive, you easily forget that you’re inside a hotel. It has a lovely velvety vault feel to it, and on a Saturday night, it was full of people. Service was excellent, big comfy chairs, great wine selection and yummy snacks. We had the whipped ricotta and it was so delicious – light and creamy with toasted pine nuts, pomegranate seeds, herbs, honey and balsamic drizzle. An excellent bite before we headed to dinner at 5ive Steakhouse upstairs. Carolyn was an excellent hostess – we were greeted very warmly, and she was smiling all evening. Our server was also excellent. I highly recommend.
