I used to love coming here since I moved back home to Long Beach a few years ago from San Diego, but the ales section specifically has gone done hill recently sadly.
Rarely are the newest products in actually fresh (usually around at least a couple weeks old, which is bad when DDH hopped ales diminish in quality quicker, especially if not being stored properly).
But now, their advertising product that just came in to purchase that’s not actually even there (screenshot of old Cellarmaker releases that are “new”, that aren’t actually there according to the gentleman who checked my order out today).

I love this place. For almost five years now, this has been one of my go-to spots in the South Bay / Long Beach area for good selection of craft and local beer by the can.
The staff is generally friendly and will ask me if I’m looking for any particular beer or beer style.
I used to come here every other week, but I had to cut back on all of the beer carbs.
Can’t really comment on the wine selection. It’s not my go-to spot when I’m looking for whiskey. I did find three Fortelzas here though!
Highly recommend!

Amazing beer selection with fair prices! Also, they’re super cool about you breaking up packs, unlike many other stores.

Excellent experience at The Wine Country! We loved the fantastic selection of wines AND craft beer. Don’t miss the wine tastings on Friday’s and Saturdays.

I have been a customer of Randy since he got the property on Redondo those many years ago. On some occasions, not many as sometimes I just don’t have the time. Or it’s stupid busy. But I will ask while bringing up a glass I got out of the clean rack bin. So today I saw that about 6 bottles of red wine that were opened and had the corks loosely put in the bottles and asked for a sample. I spoke to the guy behind the counter about a taste to try as I’m going to purchase a couple of bottles. He says that that they are corked and cannot. So what are you going to do with them? Dump them? You can’t sell them. I don’t mind paying for a sample. Next time I go to Whine County, I’ll talk to Randy directly. Norm Shepherd.

Amazing! The wine selection, the prices, the service, everything was exceptional. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and asked if I needed help finding anything. I asked to be pointed to their Argentinian Malbecs (a favorite of mine, but I was looking for a gift to bring to dinner to an Argentinian friend’s house). They had a fantastic selection. The staff’s recommendation lined up with Vivino’s ratings and was a success with my friend. When I mentioned it was a gift they offered to wrap it in tissue with a foil sticker to complement the presentation. They had a huge selection of colors to pick from. It made my simple gift really special! This place is hands down the best place I’ve ever bought a bottle of wine from.

I have had an overall bad experience with the customer service of this location. I came in regularly for a while and bought wine, beers and chocolates which they have a decent selection of. I felt followed and watched a couple of times while browsing beer. The cashiers have been very unwelcoming as well pretty much every time. I don’t think I’ll be returning. 3 mile drive to total wine sounds better than what I have experienced.

Wine country never disappoints and never steers you wrong. They offer great Friday Eve tastings with winemakers like Bruce Neyers & Nick Goldschmidt, Wow! A+!

Great selection of wine and beer. Very knowledgeable staff. A couple weeks back we went to a lager testing night and sampled 16 different types.
