Went to a wine tasting event here and I was so pleased with the experience.
It’a such a cozy place with wines from all over the world like Portugal, New Zealand, Africa, and so much more!
The staff were lovely and so knowledgeable about each wine they poured for us.
My favorite white was actually the Rose style. It was bubbly but still on the semi-sweet style. It was an easy drink. My favorite red was from Portugal and it was called the Aluado. The story about how it got its name was interesting. It was also an easy drink but still had bold flavor.
They also had a caricature drawer who was incredibly Talented. They picture truly represented who we were!
They have many events coming up which I’m interesting in!

Some good parts about this store is it has a good selection of wines with decent sales and it’s easy to navigate. The bad part is don’t expect help with your shopping trip. Thankfully I didn’t need assistance, however, I overheard the manager speaking with others. Not sure if it was staff or a customer she was speaking with, but truly baffling, her tone and short attitude are not what you’d expect in retail. I left without making a purchase and noticed a similar trend in the reviews. Not sure I’d be back.

Ventured into The Wine Cellar on the way home and was pleasantly surprised with the selection and price of wines. The store is well laid out and I found a few bottles that were of interest. They also have some sale items which are at great prices. The employee walking around the store asked if I needed help which was nice.
Store was very clean, and the prices are reasonable if not better than other stores around and there were more than enough options to choose from. Parking is easy and there are a lot of other places within the shopping plaza making this a convenient stop.
I will be back!

Since I’ve moved , this has been my favorite place for wine. I know very little about wine and I often like to bring multiple bottles to all family functions. I just found out that my go to person Jenna is no longer an employee. The most knowledgeable person at her job! So Disappointed. She knew exactly what I was looking for each time. I can’t say that it’s often you find people with knowledge and passion for their jobs anymore. With Jenna it was truly that and more. Big loss. Whoever got her as an employee just hit the lotto. Unfortunately my business goes elsewhere.

I travel out of my way to buy all my wines (2 cases every month) at the Wine Cellar in Rye Ridge. I have been a long time customer of the shop primarily due to the positive experience every time I visit and Jenna is there. Her excellent customer service, pleasant disposition, thorough knowledge, and personal attention is a breath of fresh air. I recently learned that Jenna is leaving her position and was extremely disappointed to hear this news. I will not be traveling the distance to the shop any longer – it will not be worth the extra time for me since Jenna is no longer there. Unfortunately, the experience will not be the same and I will need to find a shop closer to my home. So sad to see Jenna leave!!

The “sales” are purposefully misleading and incredibly limiting in a goal to upsell you. The variety is decent but I’d rather go somewhere that’s more honest and trustworthy.
