THE WILLOW TREE
THE WILLOW TREE R & D CAKES & CATERING
Reviews
Rodney and his staff take the best care of you. I am a vegetarian and they made sure to give me a lot of options and even made substitutions for me! It was my husbands birthday, so we visited.
Every dish was exceptional from the appetizer to the drinks to the mains to the sides. Usually at restaurants, Alfredo sauce is dry and not much of it, but here, they were generous and it was so creamy and delicious!
The interior is elegant and classy as well.
Perfect for any special event or regular dining as well. It’s unique.
All of the staff greet you with a smile and make you feel at home. They take care of you well.
Even the cake, the slice was generous and the flavour is so rich!
I cannot recommend it enough!
Safe to say that we’ll be back again!
Thanks again, The Willow Tree!
This place is in an old house that has been revamped into a restaurant. You enter in the side through a nice little garden area. They have thoughtfully included a ramp, which made it easier for my wife.
The menu is not terribly large, but that is good. They have a good selection of appetizers, salads and main dishes without going overboard.
I ordered the shrimp and grits, my wife got the Pecan Chicken special. For appetizers, we ordered the Charcuterie board.
The charcuterie board was loaded with sliced pepperoni, hard sausage, various soft and hard cheeses, nuts, crackers, cranberry raisins, pickled okra and sweet pickles. It was great.
I make shrimp and grits at home, and they are good, so I wanted to compare theirs to mine. The style they use is a more classic style, and they were very good. My wife really enjoyed her Pecan Chicken, and kept commenting on it as she ate it.
We finished the meal with a humongous piece of Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake, which was excellent.
They had a two person guitar group the played soft music right by us, so that was nice.
The service was perfect
The food was perfect. All in all, this was about as good as it gets.
Absolutely wonderful. A perfect experience from parking the car to walking out when we were finished. I can’t say enough good things.
HOWEVER…
We attended an affair that they catered. I was stunned at how below average the catered food was. In fact, out was bad enough that we simply tasted the food on our plate and pushed it away.
Don’t get me wrong. It was edible. Just completely lacked the flavor and texture found in their restaurant. The locals sure gobbled it up though. SMH.
My guess is free = awesome.
