Since we first opened our doors, The White Horse has served the central Minnesota area as one of the region’s premier restaurants. Conveniently located in downtown St. Cloud, our cozy location and friendly staff infuse every interaction with a down-home, family atmosphere—while our full-service bar serves the finest drinks and cocktails in the city.
Unfussy American bar & eatery with a menu of burgers, sandwiches & other filling fare.

No wait. Food was delicious! Loved that they put a twist on traditional/standard items to stand out from other places. Wait staff was awesome! Definitely one of the top 10 places I’ve been to service-wise. Will defibrillator go back next time we’re in that area.

We chose White Horse because we wanted a casual, cozy place where everyone could find something they’d like to eat. Indeed, it was just what we were looking for! I particularly appreciated the vegetarian and vegan options. The Green Curry with Tofu was excellent! The Pad Thai was good, but I’d order the Thai Peanut Salad for a bit lighter option next time. Others in our party were very happy with the Fettuccine Alfredo (plenty of veggies) and Korean BBQ Chicken sandwich with Brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious.
Service was excellent. We came early so we didn’t have to wait, but others who came later did. This may be because we came on a Saturday evening. Regardless, this is a popular local place in downtown St. Cloud, so you may have a wait to be seated if you come at a busy time. However, seating at the bar was open. There was seating at the bar, at tables for larger groups, as well as cozy booths.
The atmosphere was friendly and casual. However, it was also loud, but if you don’t mind the noise of a busy place, you’ll love it.
Everyone in our party of six was able to find something to order that they enjoyed. I hope to try the Madras Curry, Black Bean Burger, Greek Salad, and Hummus with Naan in the future.

This place is called Sea food Boil . Food was very good if you like it a little hot. We had the crab and shrimp boil, it came with potatoes and small corn on the cob. Plenty of shrimp and crab. My brother And I shared it for dinner and we had plenty, it said for 1 or 2 . Food was very good.

I’m torn on my review, the service I had last night was amazing! Our service, the bartender, the gentleman that happened to pass our table and grab an empty dish while he walking by (as a past server, I appreciate the attention that we received). The martini’s were made perfectly. I had the Thai Steak Salad – it looked beautiful. The steak however, was inedible. It was cooked perfectly (I requested rare) but the cut of meat couldn’t be cut with the steak knife and so I tried just chewing it… and I had to spit it out. I ended up trying to eat with my fingers so I could tear pieces of it off ( lol eating a fancy salad with my fingers) to at least get some meat off of it – and then I gave up. My friends said their meals were delightful (curry and the pizza). I was bummed, I had eaten here once before (years ago) and never came back because the food just wasn’t great. I want to give all the stars for the service and my friends meals, but just mine was a 1 sadly.

We had an amazing impromptu dinner out and found the White Horse will be our go-to from here on out. The staff was engaging and welcoming, and the food was over the top. I can’t stop thinking about the house made ginger ale I was served and am hoping they have growers to go!! (If not, get on this! ) ;))
10/10 thank you for making our evening!

I stopped in for a quick dinner before a show downtown. The menu had some tempting options, but I went with a classic cheeseburger and tater tots. The burger was excellent—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. The tots, however, were a major letdown. They were so oversalted and overseasoned I couldn’t get through more than two.
My tab for the burger, a side of ranch, two Coors Lights (one discounted for happy hour), and a 20% tip came to $33. For that price, I expected more. The atmosphere felt like an old dive bar that hasn’t put much thought into creating an experience, and the food didn’t measure up to what they’re charging.
On the upside, the staff was outstanding. I was greeted right away, and the bartender delivered excellent service, which is why I still left a generous tip.
This place has potential, but until the food and atmosphere rise to match the prices, I’d call it a one-and-done stop.

A great stop in St. Cloud. I really liked the old dive bar vibe as you walk in. The menu has a great assortment of different items and was done with fresh ingredients, which is definitely not something you get at most restaurants, so I appreciated that. Service was very friendly and I thought the value of the food was good. I would definitely come here again.

Stellar dinner in St. Cloud, we were immediately greeted and seated. NOT wheelchair accessible but accommodating. The portions are quite large so definitely take a box, you don’t want to leave any of the delicious food. 5/5

I got one of their signature burgers and was impressed with the quality and the way they prepared it. Overall, it’s a good experience for the food. The service was subpar and the prices were a little high, but I could see how they justify it. If you’re an introvert, it’s a good place.
