1st time visiting for a birthday party. It was pretty clean, the staff was friendly, and the drinks were good. There was food but not sure if it was provided the establishment or brought in by the party. The food was tasty but the meatballs were lukewarm. No smoking cigarettes or cigars allowed but there were more than a few people vaping which is still a form of smoking and still bothers non smokers. The music was good and a good mix of crowd. Limited seating for this night but seems ok for a regular night. Had a good time.

New to the neighborhood and wanted to catch the Astros v Rangers game. I called to see if they had it ; they said they would be happy to put it on. The first time I visited, the atmosphere was amazing, and very clean. The bartenders were cool. I definitely found my new spot. ✌

My husband use to own a sports bar, so for us to go to one, is a big deal. We truly love going to Whiskey Girls Saloon, and a HUGE part of that is because of Kayla! She is by far the best bartender around. She always greets us with a smile and knows exactly what drink will fit our mood for that day. She truly cares about her customers and it shows.

Any other place that was out of most things we ordered would fail hard on a review, but The Whiskey Girls has a big weapon. Paulette at the bar. I thought she was the owner based on the detail and vibe, until I thanked her for the excellent service as we left and asked a question which she had to find out for me because she said she came on recently. Surprised to find out her passion was not from ownership. So here is how all that went down…
Asked for a drink menu because my husband was in the mood for exotic. They were out of most of the ingredients on the menu. We worked around it. He ordered something more basic. I wound up ordering my standard, if not red wine, and that is Bacardi and Diet Coke. Made perfectly. Both drinks. Husband saw a sign advertising a Treaty Oaks cocktail after that. He ordered it. They had run out of Treaty Oaks. He ordered something else.
We decided on some nibbles. I love that you can order from Grazie pizza and bring it over. Grazie walking it over would be ideal but they make great pizza. We decided to stay there and not take the short stroll and we gambled on cheese sticks and fire sticks. They were out of fire sticks but substituted with some chicken and green chile taquitos. They were both pre-made frozen nibbles but served quickly and very hot and okay for trash bar food. Pizza next time but it was just fine for bar food and had fresh sauces for dipping.
I ordered a second Bacardi and Diet Coke. They had run out of Bacardi!! Clear Bacardi is standard for a bar. Boo.
All drinks were excellent but the best part of this bar was the vibe. And that was all from the bartender. We were not even seated at the bar and she was very engaging conversationally with every single person in there, including us, with a big smile and the best attitude and conversation as though we were invited into her home and she was the hostess letting all of us get to know each other. That honestly was exceptional.
I can’t imagine leaving a good review for a bar out of most things we ordered but some things just compensate. Great expansive space, great personal vibe, and incredible energy made by the bartender. So personable and high energy with great vibes. Lots of fun events planned here and amazing neighborhood hangout, clearly. We will be back and the service here is the specialty. Made it a wonderful experience.
Also unlike Austin bars of its kind, small dogs not allowed in carriers inside. I called first to ask. They were nice about it but on the porch only so perhaps on cooler days.

Kayla was awesome! Super friendly, quick with the drinks, and really made the night fun. She paid attention to everyone at the bar and made sure we were taken care of. Drinks were spot on and her vibe made the whole experience better. Definitely one of the best bartenders I’ve had!

Super cute, old school type of bar. It has slot machines, darts, and billiards. The wings were very tasty, but they shut down their air fryers at 11pm, so take note that you can only purchase a bag of chips after that point. The drinks were no frills, but super cheap.
