Husband and I went out for lunch at a beautiful ocean view cozy restaurant and was won over. The wheel house has nailed it in every level. The old wood charm, the beautiful ocean views, the wonderful service and what won me over well really the icing on the cake was the freshness and flavour of the food. I had a simple chicken burger but it was honestly the best chicken burger I have had in years. Crust, not dry great flavour…….The high end ingredients, butcher style bacon and can I say it again freshness. Everything was so good I can’t even wait to go back. I loved the menu it wasn’t just seafood for those who have a different pallet. It was also gluten friendly and vegan friendly. As one who had to eat gluten free due to health reason for years it was hard finding restaurants I could enjoy eating out with the family and being included dinning out as that is hard to find. Our server was absolutely awesome I didn’t have to even ask for a refill it came to our table without asking. She was on top of her game, friendly and really enjoyed talking with her. We will definitely make this our spot and look forward to going back. To many more awesome times

We visited The Wheelhouse Seafood & Pasta Restaurant for dinner on a November evening while staying in Digby, and it ended up being one of our favourite meals of the trip.
The service was absolutely top-notch. The woman who served us seemed like she may have been the owner — she carried herself with so much pride and care. She was incredibly attentive, warm, and genuinely friendly. You could tell she really looked after not just us, but everyone in the dining room.
I ordered the Seafood Lasagna ($25) because I had never tried a seafood lasagna before and was curious. It came exactly as I expected — a creamy béchamel-style sauce with layers of pasta — but what I didn’t expect was the portion size and how much seafood was packed into it. I consider myself a big eater, and I still struggled to make it halfway through. It was loaded with fish and absolutely delicious. It also came with a Caesar salad and garlic bread, but I was so full from the lasagna that I passed my salad to my partner and barely touched the bread. If you’re very hungry or love big portions, you have to try this! Otherwise, it’s perfect for sharing — just add an appetizer to split as well.
My partner ordered the Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo ($22) and loved it. Creamy, flavourful, and a generous portion size as well.
Overall, we thought the value for the price was excellent, the food was delicious, and the service was some of the best we’ve had. We’re already looking forward to coming back on our next trip to Digby!

Absolutely delicious!! The bruschetta was the best I’ve had anywhere! We had seared scallops and pork schnitzel. Both so good! Our waitress was the best!! So pleasant!! Beautiful view of the Bay too! We recommend the Wheelhouse in Digby for anyone looking for great food and atmosphere!

The whiskey maple glazed salmon was the best Salmon I’ve ever had in my life My companions had the Spaghetti and Haddock & Clam bits also said they were fantastic. Digby is world renowned for their scallops, and these were the best scallops we’ve ever had! The buttery taste literally melted in your mouth. We started with the bacon wrapped appetizer and were so impressed we both opted for the Scallop Trio for our main course. Seasoned and cooked to perfection, each bite was better than the one before it.
Desserts were homemade and absolutely amazing. The restaurant staff went above and beyond seating us rather quickly even though we just popped in during the dinner rush without a reservation, and this place was packed… Did I mentioned it was Scallop Days?

This restaurant was absolutely fantastic. It is very unassuming from the outside but very cute inside. We ordered the scallop trio plate and the scallop burger. Scallops were cooked perfectly This place was definitely worth the walk from the main street. Their pies looked amazing but we were too full for dessert. We’ll definitely stop here again.

Memorable dinner last night at The Wheelhouse Seafood & Pasta in Digby. All the staff were warm and welcoming. A special thank you to Anita and Jenny, who found me a table even though reservations are always required at this place, and to Taylor for the menu suggestions and the incredible service throughout the evening. The best scallops I’ve ever had in my life — I ordered the scallop trio. Overlooking the entire bay, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy a great meal with a breathtaking view.

Fabulous scallops…I had the scallops trio, and my partner had a perfectly done maple salmon! Friendly service…we were lucky to get a table early without a reservation… The place was soon full on a Wed night in October! Oh and the huge slice of coconut cream pie was amazing!!
