The Southern hospitality here is the best I’ve ever experienced in the American Southeast! They were extra attentive to us because we were the only guests at 4pm. The owner/manager brought us complimentary chocolates and coffee while we waited for our order, and I couldn’t refuse the kind offering despite knowing the caffeine would keep me up all night. The loaded baked potato stew and Reuben sandwich were so tasty and filling! This restaurant and the entire town of Dillsboro are such hidden gems.

Delicious and cozy local spot. I can’t believe it took me 12 years to find them gem. Great location and absolutely DELICIOUS food. The perfect lunch spot especially if you are craving a delectable sandwich. I had the roast beef both times and can’t wait to go back again soon! If you’re in the area, definitely make sure to stop in to grab a sandwich or something!!!

The staff is accommodating and kind, our toddler was hungry and they offered crackers, and even some bubbles while they prepared our meals. The food is so good. We had the chicken salad, of course. You can get it on a pita or any style bread (rye, wheat, white). The location is very historic so worth a visit if you travel. If you don’t know, it’s named “The Well House” because of the well found inside. It was established in the 1800s. Thanks, Well House.

I have been eating there for years and it is excellent. Great food friendly staff and very reasonably priced. I would recommend it to anyone.

Consistently good food. Tucked into a larger building which makes atmosphere unique. Definitely recommend. Limited parking.

Lovely little venue with really nice food. We took the Smoky Mountain Railroad to Dilsboro from Bryson City and had our lunch here.

This is an old historic building with an actual well inside of it. It is rustic but always clean. ♿️♿️♿️Please note their are about 4 steps down to enter this building and this would make the restaurant most likely difficult or not able to accommodate all handicapped. We have been eating here for many years. It’s the only place I go to get a decent, fresh salad. They triple treat sandwich is delicious. I recommend their chef’s salad (HUGE SALAD!!) Reuben and Egg salad also. Actually, all of it is great. Wonderful chef and staff!!!
