I ordered the sirloin steak, but it was incredibly tough and inedible. The steak was supposed to be medium-rare, but it looked a lil off. To make matters worse, our table didn’t have any silverware. When we arrived, we noticed that the table next to us was unclean. It wasn’t until we left that the manager finally came to clean it, prompted by a complaint from the booth next to us as a result, they received a 30% discount. I also ordered the brownie dessert, which looked much larger in the photo but was very small. We only received one spoon after we said it was for both of us.

Courtney the manager did a phenomenal job explaining the celiac options. She made me feel overly comfortable explaining there is a celiac chef as well. Highly recommend. Out of any restaurant in Grand Rapids I would choose this apple bees as I usually never eat at Apple bees. Courtney is amazing I cannot rant enough I wish there was more of her. Thank you thank you I’ll always come back here when we are in the area.

The person who seated us was nice. Our server was unprofessional and lazy. I left a tip but regret doing so. Spilled water all over the table, blamed it on the fact that one glass had no ice. Everything was wet but she walked away. When she came back to take the order, I had to ask fornapkins ore something to wipe up all the water. Silverwrar wrapped in napkins were soaked stars paper cover was soaked making it difficult to get the paper off. Food was very overcooked. All pasta was musky and stuck together in clumps (3 different pasta dishes…all bad) chicken, overcooked, dry, hard no flavor in anything and cold. 3 of 4 meals ordered, not fit to eat. Worst meal ever. Brought my 93 year old Korean Veteran dad there from Grand Rapids VA HOME for a special treat and we were all sorely disappointed. I didn’t want to make a scene and upset my dad, but I want you all to know!! We will never be back. Atmosphere was as usual in this chain restaurant but we were there around 11:30am. Not many people. Normally I would not complain about Applebee’s pricing except, I paid $106 (including tip) for the worst meals ever. Not happy! My main takeaway from this visit is there was no excuse for the meals and service to be this bad. We will never be back!

Everything was going great until the food arrived and we did not face silverware. It took over five minutes for silverware to arrive, by that time I had sent my order back.
Our waitress was very apologetic and it definitely was not her fault. Our bill was adjusted, but I was really looking forward to the Riblets, they are delicious.
Although this was the worst experience I have ever experienced at Applebees, I will not let it deter me from coming back, I realized this was an anomaly.

Google “great” and what comes up ? Nate. He was awesome. Speedy, accurate and friendly service. He kept the refills coming and checked on my family multiple times throughout our dining experience to ensure we had a nice dinner. Our food came out wonderful, everything tasted great. There were no gummy sharks available for my shark bowl, Nate was polite enough to double check for me. The drink was a 10/10 though ! #GETNATHANHISFREEMEAL!!!!!! #NateYoureGreat

I am from out of state. Came to eat there because close to my hotel. Somehow the cooks there don’t know what crispy or extra crispy means. I get the most soggiest of fries and buns I’ve ever had when I ask for toasted buns and extra crispy fries! This has been for 4 times in a row. Try to give them the benefit of a doubt. I’m over it! Worst Applebee’s to go to! You might want to consider hiring cooks who know their ABC’s of how to cook food to the customers request.

Stopped at Applebee’s for lunch and I had the chicken queadilla salad. It was delicious with lots of chicken. My husband had the Chicken parmesan pasta which he said was excellent! Portions are good size. Our waitress was Liz and she gave us exceptional service. She was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our stop at Applebee’s!

The new promotion of the chicken sandwich meal deal brought me in today to give it a try. I have to say it was probably the largest piece of chicken I’ve ever had on a bun. The seasoning and breading was just right, not too much not too little. The chicken was juicy. The fries were well seasoned. I’m not always a chain guy when it comes to restaurant choices but this is a good value for $9.99. It even comes with a soda. I don’t know how long though keep it going, but you might want to stop in and give it a try. It surely gives Popeyes and Chick-fil-A a run for their money on the best chicken sandwich in my mind.
